Summary
Twenty-nine year old Louis Tomlinson knows what it means to face hardship. Being an unmated omega mother and a PhD student on the brink of graduation doesn't exactly mesh. It doesn't help that, in his final semester, Louis' daughter Rose decides that she'd rather be anywhere but in a lecture hall.
Enter alpha Professor Styles, the only one who can soothe Rose into sleeping through class. What does it mean when Louis graduates, and Rose can no longer settle? Louis is faced with a decision: reach out to his ex professor with an unlikely proposition, or continue to do what he's always done, and figure it out on his own.
The entire class watched while their professor extended his arms in question. “May I hold her?”
As Rose's cries grew louder, Louis searched his professor for a hint of malice. There was none.
“Okay,” Louis agreed. He hesitated for only a moment longer before he lifted Rose for the man to take. Professor Styles accepted the baby with a soft noise and gentle hands while he placed her on his hip.
Surprised by the sudden change, Rose stared up at the professor with wide, teary eyes. A still moment passed, and then Rose laughed.
