Work Text:
John presses his nose to the corsage pinned to Sherlock's chest and inhales deeply. "You smell lovely," he murmurs to the charcoal-gray fabric.
"The lavender smells lovely," Sherlock corrects, his lips quirking in a smile.
John smiles back and leans in to press a quick kiss to his soon-to-be husband's cheek. "It can be both."
Sherlock blinks at the blunt truth of that statement and then sighs happily.
"What?" John asks, worried that he's said something wrong.
"I don't know how I got so lucky."
"What do you mean?"
Sherlock rolls his eyes at his fiancé's adorable cluelessness. "With you. You always say the right things."
John blinks. "No, I don't."
Sherlock rolls his eyes before kissing him on the lips. "You do," he promises, reassuring John. "You always do."
