Work Text:
When I first met the blonde-haired woman, her offer seemed too good to be true. My hobby, my passion... becoming my whole life? To live for what seemed like forever, to practice my art? There had to be a catch.
I told her I'd think about it, planning to turn her down... but I couldn't get her words out of my head. Then she invited me to meet her family, and what could I do but accept?
The other blonde woman was notably shorter, and had an aura of responsibility around her. She offered no words to me other than to explain that she was my host's "sister"- she said the word with such disdain that I couldn't help but question the authenticity of the statement. And the other person was almost ecstatic to see me- asking questions to both women, asking me questions faster than I could answer. His white hair contrasted well eith his dark red clothes, although I thought that maybe a couple of little touch-ups wouldn't do any harm...
I saw no reason to continue rejecting the offer to join their family. And as it grew... as my brother joined, and we invited others to join us as well... I couldn't have been happier.
Until the Fixer arrived.
Her clothes were tasteless- made purely for function, and with no aesthetic thought put into them. I offered multiple times to make her something that would flatter her figure, or at least something a little more presentable... but she had no interest in any of our family other to share stories with our father. And when her delusions got into his head, when we built the park and invited humans to be our friends, we suffered. We suffered in the name of our father, of our family, of our hopes and dreams.
We couldn't last any longer. I'd been driven up the wall, the last of my sanity dripping away like the blood we weren't allowed to taste...
But it'll be over soon. There isn't much longer. I never wanted it to come to this- neither did anyone else- but we have no choice.
Once we're free of the binds that hold us to our father... once we can live as bloodfiends should...
...oh, I'll make La Manchaland so, so pretty.
