Why yes, yes I can.
Let's see, it all began back in 2011? That was Shane's first ASG and a whole new world of ships were born.
Previously, Shane's biggest ship was with Hayden Pike (#35 on the Montreal Voyageurs, Shane's teammate and first-line winger), with other notable ships being with:
- JJ Boiziau (#16 on the Montreal Voyageurs, defenceman)
- Sorren Miitka (#1 on the Montreal Voyageurs, goalie)
Because of AGS 2011, Shane was seen with other major stars like:
- Ilya Rozanov (#81 on the Boston Bears, fellow center)
- Scott Hunter (#21 on the New York Admirals, center)
- Carter Vaughan (#19 on the New York Admirals, winger)
Fans of Shane went crazy with a sudden influx of bromantic and not-so bromantic moments alike. All of the fans of the ships with the abovementioned names went crazy.

After ASG 2011, a whole lot of new fans joined, all discussing their favorite ships. QUICK DISCLAIMER before we go on: Hollander Museum is strictly neutral, so please don't try to drag me into drama about this. I do not care about ship wars. I will block you without hesitation.
Moving on.
While Shayden (Shane x Hayden) was, and has remained, extremely popular, Hollanov (Hollander x Rozanov) quickly rose in the ranks. If you're wondering why people ship it, there are plenty of posts that go into detail - this post however will not. In any case, the rise of Hollanov is what is widely believed caused Jane to join Tumblr. Her earliest posts are all ones that are obviously anti-Hollanov.
To give a few examples:
janehollander42: don't know why everyone is saying 'hollanov' is a thing when they fucking hate each other
janehollander42: why are people obsessed with hollanov? they are both straight men who've only dated and slept with women. this is so weird
janehollander42: even if i didn't hate hollanov i still would because all of the people who like it are fucking freaks. why does all of the fanart make shane a foot shorter than rozanov and way skinnier? they are the same height and build. WTF. and he wouldn't call rozanov hyung that's korean + shane is older.
I actually kind of agree with her on that last one, though Hollanov fanartists are certainly not the only ones who've made some questionably racist art. Anyway. Jane made these and other posts over the span of a few days before falling silent. Her posts were not met with much attention at first. However, after the first Voyageurs game after ASG, where the well-loved Shayden duo were back on the ice together, Shayden fans found Jane's posts and flooded her notifcations with agreement.
(Anon, you said you're new to the fandom - surely you know this already, but just in case, Shaydens and Hollanovs are mortal enemies. They've only ever banded together once, to protest the small but vocal group of Dallander shippers. Yes, that is Dallas Kent x Shane Hollander.)
According to screenshots and first-hand accounts, Jane intially seemed to agree with and communicate pleasantly with the Shayden shippers. Unfortuantely, directly following this time was one of many waves of hate against Jackie Pike, Hayden Pike's wife. Over the years, she has faced all kinds of allegations such as being Hayden's beard, blackmailing him, using him for money, and their children being dolls, amongst many many MANY other campaigns.
(I am neutral about shipping, but not about sending hate to the partners of those Shane is shipped with. Be kind to Jackie Pike!)
Jane saw this disgusting hate train, and immediately turned on Shayden, no longer making anti-Hollanov but anti-Shayden posts. If you look at her account, you'll see YEARS of Shayden shippers sending her asks that, in turns, try to get her to 'see the light' and claim the Jackie-haters are just the bad apples, or send her hateful messages that attack her personally.
I say this with nothing but respect: Jane is one cold son of a bitch. She chirps better than some actual hockey players. (I want to make a compilation post, but I need more examples! If you have some, please send them my way.) Since 2011, she has been an ardent hater of Shayden, meticulously breaking down arguments from all across the board and explaining why their 'proof' is not actually proof at all. It's glorious to see, and it's made her a household name in the Shane Hollander fandom. She seems to only come online to prove Shayden is not real, before she leaves us for weeks at a time doing whatever boss bitch job she must have.
Some examples of her anti-Shayden posts:

janehollander42: shayden shippers must have more concussions than shayden themselves to think bumping helmets is gay. do you watch hockey or not? all of those guys do it. hayden pike is not declaring his undying gay love for shane hollander by bumping helmets or picking fights for him. THAT'S JUST HOCKEY. i saw someone say today that hayden always passes to shane and it's so cute.... HE'S A WINGER THAT'S HIS JOB. i'm about to put together a class on how hockey works because clearly you guys need a refresher. i'm honestly embarrassed
God, I love her. Jane, if you see this, I'm obsessed with you.
Okay, you may be wondering why the whole fandom knows her if she's only an anti-Shayden. Well, she's not exactly ONLY anti-Shayden. It's a little complicated.
She still hates Hollanov, though instead of arguing with shippers, she simply blocks everyone in sight.
Have you liked a post about Hollanov? Blocked. Vaguely mentioned it in the notes of a gif post? Blocked. Blatantly gone into her inbox telling her it's real and she's being Russo-phobic? Yes, someone has really done that, and they were BLOCKED.
Hollanov shippers have tried to engage with Jane on every level - pretending to hate the ship, openly loving it, asking her for one of her detailed proof posts that it's not real, etc etc etc, you name it, they've tried it - but she simply refuses.
There are unconfirmed but largely believed rumors that Jane occassionally unblocks Hollanov shippers, but only in the middle of the night OR after large Hollanov events (e.g. after ASG 2017 and Shane's injury last year in a Montreal v Boston game), though they are swiftly blocked again. I have never seen concrete proof of this, but it's worth mentioning, because if you're interested in Hollanov at all, you will hear everyone talk about this. Shippers claim that she secretly ships Hollanov and just can't let anyone know or it will ruin her cred. You decide.
As for other ships, Jane is delightfully unhateful... sometimes!
ShayJ (Shane x JJ) shippers HAVE received detailed denial posts from her, but instead of the more blunt tone she takes with Shaydens, she likes to joke with ShayJ shippers that "it COULD mean nothing. it probably is nothing. but who can say. JJ is hot" and "Shane Hollander told me himself that JJ's straight but i don't know if i believe him".
Huntlander (Hunter x Hollander) shippers sometimes get into arguments with her, but other times come together as friends, namely with Jane posting pro-Hunter posts following his coming out in the 2017 Playoffs.
Jane also actually, openly likes one ship, and that is Hollandry (Hollander x Rose Landry, A-list actress and his former girlfriend). She posts gifsets from all of Rose Landry's movies, often putting in the notes lengthy compliments and the occassional "Shane didn't deserve you". While other shippers have come to Jane's inbox to claim Shane is gay (to clarify, he has never spoken on his sexuality. We don't know what he identifies as), Rose fans have also flocked to Jane's account as she is seemingly the only person who cares about both Rose Landry's movies AND the actress' hockey-playing brothers' careers. Once, Jane was asked about her favorite Shane ship, and she said "i only know of one, the canonical hollandry".
Alongside all of this, Jane is known as a prolific hockey fan and is willing to explain any question anyone has about the game. Even the really stupid ones, though she will probably tell you you're dumb. She knows so much trivia it's scary. She also occassionally horny posts about "big, beefy tops" before apologizing and deleting all the evidence in the morning. Some people think she actually does know Shane Hollander, which is its own conspiracy theory that I can get to on another post because this one is getting long.
Anyway, Anon, I hope I answered your question! I honestly left out so many things, but I think I'll make a Jane timeline soon to fill in the gaps. This isn't even going into the Great Shamaire (Shane x Lemaire) War of 2012. Holy shit, there's so much missing. I'm going to stop here before I keep rambling on and on forever. Hollander Museum out.
