Work Text:
Adams was sick. Very sick.
So sick that he had to leave a Congress meeting early so he didn't puke over his desk.
Normally, Dickinson would just roll his eyes at something like this. Adams always had something he was doing for attention.
But, Adams really had seemed ill the past few days.
He excused himself from his station and followed the man to the privy.
There, sure enough, Adams was puking his guts out.
Dickinson sighed and knelt beside the man, holding his hair back as his stomach expeled.
When Adams was eventually finished, he leaned back, exhausted, right into Dickinson.
Dickinson stilled for a second, then slowly wrapped his arms around the sick man. Despite their disagreements, he couldn't help but care for him.
"I've got you, Adams"
