He thinks about what she'd do if her eyes came open right now and found him here, crouched over her in the dark. A scream first, maybe—she seems like the screaming type. Or the recalibration: the pause, the processing, and then Ibuki-san in that specific register she uses for his brother, the honorific she hands to Ibuki so easily and had never once considered offering Natsuki.
