   Summary

In 2003, Shane Hollander met his new best friend, Elijah Petrov, a new student from Russia who was just as good at hockey as he was, if not better. They watched hockey movies together to help Eli learn English.
In 2008, Eli, his father, and his brother died in a car accident.
Shane learned to move on. Until he joins the Ottawa Centaurs and meets their new coach, Ilya Rozanov, a former KHL player who looks a disturbing amount like his childhood friend.
