Work Text:
I’m one of those people that has an insanely high pain tolerance. That’s one of the reasons I’m able to go without shoes during my patrol. But given that I always end up with cuts and often things stuck in my feet.
That part sucks, but due to my quirk it’s better that I don’t wear shoes. Because chicken feet and shoes don’t go well together.
I learned that the hard way.
So I’m currently sitting on the couch in the common room after my patrol ended with fat gum. Mirio has also finished his work study for the day so he’s kneeling in front of me pulling out a peice of glass out of my foot. “I don’t understand how you walk like this,” he says as he set it on the floor and cleans it with peroxide which causes me to hiss. Before he puts a bandaid on it.
“I can’t feel it,” I answer as he cleans another cut causing me to tense up.
“But you can feel the peroxide,”
“Different type of pain,” I admit. We’re both still in our hero costumes. He finishes off a box of bandaids and opens up another.
“How do you feel about all might bandaids?” He asks.
“All Might? Really?”
He shrugs taking one out of the wrapper. “That’s all we have left in the cabinet. Guess we need to talk recovery girl into giving us some more,” he finishes with my left foot and starts on my right one.
There’s a few cuts on top and more on the bottom. He repeats the process.
Once he’s finished he throws the trash away and kisses the top of my head. “There. All better,”
I reach my arms up. “I don’t think I can walk,” that’s a lie. I just want him to carry me. He smiles and bends down allowing me to wrap my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. I press my face into his shoulder.
“Oh, really?” I nod as he squeezes me and carries me up the steps. “You’re lucky you’re cute,”
I swear I let out a slight squeak as blush forms on my cheeks. He just laughs. “Come on Let’s get you to bed princess,”
I press my face into his shoulder more. I’m nobody’s princess but I’m also not going to argue about it either.
