Chapter Text
The officer stepped out of the car and opened the door for her. She placed her- despite being from the city, already dirty- boot on the Pindan outside of the car. She had auburn hair that was tied into a ponytail by an olive green ribbon. Her nails were chipped but painted a pretty, pastel pink- definitely too pretty for her personality. The officer walked over to the cabin she would be staying at, staring at her, waiting for her to walk over, so she did. She didn't doubt that the pindan would stain her boots, they were inky black but they would probably stain anyway. The cabin was painted what must have once been a bright red, but through many years in the sun was now worn and dull. A women stood next to the hardwood door of the cabin, with very yellow blonde hair, and was wearing a bright orange cardigan with a name tag that said "Beth" clipped on the left side. "You must be Samantha Colins!" Beth said in a positive chirpy voice that Sam found quite annoying. As Beth opened the door for her, leading her on one of the first steps of her new life, the officer paced back to the car almost military-like and drove away.
