   Summary

   When Lestat woke up on the beach, the stillness of the sky in twilight, the quiet of the air, was deafening. As he caressed Gabriella's necklace on the ground, a second pair of hands joined him. Ashen coloured, devoid of warmth, more dead than the undead that is Lestat. Amber eyes locked on his abandoned lover, Lestat found Nicki kneeling across him.
