Cerulean

Summary:

Liam goes for a kiss.

Notes:

Nothing about this is real.

Found this in my fic folder, and then I finished it.

Work Text:

His nervousness is making his throat tight. Liam gives himself the final, encouraging push, and opens the door to winner’s room.

Charles is lounging on the king-sized bed, cozy in his big sweatshirt, and smiling just as warmly as during their stolen, private moments.

He had invited Liam. Not anybody else, but young, boyish Liam who hasn’t moved much further from holding his hand, and kissing.

Someone a little more secure would have expected the guy to do exactly that, but Liam has been letting his thoughts spiral, wonder what they are and what they aren’t. He wants the B-word, Charles making it clear that they are exclusive, but has been too shy to ask for that.

It had started with random talks and smiles, Charles looking for his company and Liam taking his sweet time understanding what the man was working towards. He accepted, letting Charles through his walls, finding care and curiosity towards life and Liam. Peace is in Charles’ penthouse apartment, where quiet music plays, and Leo naps in his lap. Charles had been mentioning taking time to travel to New Zealand on winter break, seeming confident and serious about his plan.

Liam had quickly signed, when the invitation from the winner came. After that he walked into his driver’s room, carefully locking the door. Liam stripped in front of his mirror, eyes studying his whole body from the top of his head to his toes. Thick biceps, round shoulders, faint lines of abs. His dick was perfectly average-sized, surrounded by neatly trimmed dark hair. He tried to give his reflection a confident smile, and got a little flustered while imagining Charles looking at his naked body, asking for things.

”Hello. I missed you. Come here.” Liam goes, kneeling on the bed, and crawling to Charles, settling into the man’s honestly given embrace.

He had had his expectations. Liam had more or less imagined a sex dungeon full of items he mostly couldn’t even recognize, but it’s only a big hotel suite with a separate kitchenette, and a seating area. The decor is standard with a few bland city view posters in frames, dark blue wall colors, and dark brown paneling. It’s a quite calming environment, not Liam’s favourite, but he has seen less comfortable accommodations.

Charles gives a kiss on his temple, and changes positions, pulling Liam a little closer.

”Are you okay?” Yeah, the race hadn’t been anything to be writing home about, but he got points. That’s the important thing. He gave a solid performance, and got points.

Maybe he should take the initivative, slide his hand in Charles’ pants, and show it’s okay to take Liam. Liam wouldn’t mind, and he is not scared or worried at all.

He makes the brave attempt, pulling away from Charles’ warmth, and looking at his beautiful, trusting face carefully.

Liam goes for a kiss.

Kissing is simple. He likes kissing Charles, the tiny surprised sounds he makes, and how his fingers are always a little cold. He likes pushing them under Liam’s shirt, just resting them on his warm lower back.

Charles is clearly into it, into him, and Liam likes the sweet, wet slide of their mouths. But when he tries to move things forward, finger clumsily pushing at the waist of Charles’ pants, a set of fingers is quickly wrapped around his wrist. He has been allowing Charles to learn to know him, and now he sees Liam isn’t in control. He can’t fake.

”Sweetheart, Liam. I didn’t invite you here to have sex.”

”You didn’t?” His stupid voice is shaking.

”No, I wanted to see you. Have some private time with you. It has been a busy weekend.” Like they always are, but he gets what Charles means.

”Or would you have wanted to…?”

”No, I don’t. Not yet.” Charles kisses him, sweetly and slowly, Liam melting into the touch now, when he knows for sure nobody is expecting him to get his dick out. It’s still so new, kissing a man, being intimate with a man, but it’s new he wants to experience and learn.

”Can I call you my boyfriend?” He wants to bite his tongue, but the burning question is out now. No way to take it back.

When his family last gathered to Europe, he had brought Charles, mentioning that Charles was an important person to him, and so grateful, when they didn’t make a number of any of that. Charles talked to everyone, listening attentively, making questions, and showing he was proud of being allowed to witness this side of Liam.

”Of course, sweetheart. I’m sorry we haven’t had the talk earlier. We are boyfriends if you want that too.”

”Thanks.” He is immediately feeling stupid, and young, and oh god, why he didn’t think before saying that of all things, but Charles only chuckles, and kisses the tip of his nose.

”Rest now, sweet thing.”
