Work Text:

Out of the corner of his eye, Tenko saw a flash of two space buns and a sharp, toothy grin as Toga waltzed into their training session at Gym Gamma.

They were split up into groups of two.

Tenko was paired up with Spinner for their hero rescuing training drills.

The girl immediately made her presence known by shouting.

“Tenko! Dabi! Spin—”

“Himiko Toga, from 1-B,” Aizawa said, letting out a tired sigh when he spotted the rebel. “What are you doing here? Don't tell me you're skipping class again.”

“I’m not! I have a hall pass,” she raised a wrinkled, torn-up page and waved it in the air as if it were a valid explanation. “See? This means I can go wherever I want and I wanna get down and dirty with class 1-A! I don't feel like having history right now, Mr. Aizawa!”

Before Eraserhead could get a word in, Dabi scoffed, “That's a folded piece of paper with doodles of dead animals...”

“And blood,” Tensei Iida, also known as Ingenium, the class rep, added with a slight grimace. “Not a hall pass. They don't work that way, just so you know,” his lips twitched in amusement despite himself.

“Boo-hoo!” Toga pouted, tapping her foot on the training steel ground. “You're no fun, Tensei. This is why you'll never get a girlfriend!”

“He's actually dating my sister, Fuyumi,” Dabi drawled, arms crossed behind his head, giving Iida a brief, judgmental once-over as he stalked closer to the blonde. “Don't know how long it'll last, though.”

“No way!” Toga gasped, cheeks turning pink at the mention of the pretty girl with white and red-streaked hair from hero support class 2-C.

“She's so hot—well, cold, but you get my point. Ugh,” she moved her tongue over her fangs while eying the class rep mischievously. “I can't believe I missed my chance. But if you're looking for a third, Tensei—”

“All of you. Stop talking! Now.”

Toga, Dabi, and Iida halted at the teacher's stern voice.

The rest of class 1-A hovered around, chatting mindlessly with each other or doing warm-up exercises while others were clearly eavesdropping, fully facing their direction.

“Toga, I will not repeat myself. Get back to class,” Aizawa grumbled, looking two seconds away from passing out, which wasn't unusual for him. “And stop skipping class; it won't look good on your record.”

Not that the blonde had a good school record in the first place.

“Aw man,” the blonde moaned, stomping toward the exit. “I really wanted to use my daggers.”

Dabi snorted.

“See you later, Dabi and Tensei-kun!” she said, suddenly cheerful.

Dabi flipped her off with a grin while Tensei smiled kindly and gave a friendly wave.

“Bye-bye, Tenko-chan!” Toga sang, ignoring the boy's rehearsed protest.

“I told you not to call me that!”

She stuck her tongue out at him teasingly and giggled at his flushed cheeks.

“You're so awkward, Tenko-chan! I love it!”

“What am I? Chopped liver?” Spinner asked, half-yelling at the blonde as he gripped the wooden sword in his hands, sulking not far from the dark-haired boy.

“You're just an extra,” Toga teased, snickering, then added, “Just kidding, Spinner-kun! You know I love you!” before trotting away with a skip in her step. “Bye-bye!”

“Alright, the family reunion is over,” Eraserhead clapped his hands. “The rest of you have work to do! Move!”

The man rubbed his temples and breathed out heavily, feeling drained.

“Vlad needs to put her on a tighter leash. I don't understand how she's always everywhere except where she needs to be,” moving to a higher building to supervise, Aizawa mumbled to himself. “I need some coffee.”

Tensei turned to Dabi as they started to walk toward the setup training course. Clearing his throat, he asked, “So, how should we do this? Do you want—”

“I'll crush you, Eyebrows,” came the instant threat with a glare.

“We're on the same team,” Ingenium said, good-naturedly unfazed by Dabi's tone. “We need to work together.”

The white-haired boy grumbled something under his breath and stubbornly ignored the speed Quirk user as he moved forward.

“Just a reminder,” Eraserhead announced, “whoever fails is getting expelled!”

Keigo Takami whistled at the last of his classmates who scrambled to catch up to the scene while he flew his second round on rescuing duty with ease, red feathers behind him.

“You're slow today, Dabi!” he said with a smirk. “What's the hold-up?”

“Shut up, Pigeon Brain!” Dabi's hands grew, emitting low blue flames as he charged ahead with his teammate speeding past him. “I'll make you eat those words!”

“Oh, you're on, Todoroki!” Hawks chuckled, blasting off. “Bring it.”

Notes:

✧ I have no idea what kind of fic this is? Class 1-A shenanigans (an overview of an alternate class 1-A.) The POV is also all over the place with this one. I had no idea how to bring it into view. It starts with Tenko but is kind of omniscient because I try to show a bit of everyone.

- We have our bird boy.
- We have our problem children.
- And mutant dudes.
- Even class rep, Tensei Iida.
- If you have any more ideas of characters to add to class 1-A or 1-B I can add to this class, feel free to recommend because I'm out of ideas!

- Toga and Mustard are in class 1-B.

✧ I didn't think of this ship (TenFuyu?) on my own! But they are absolutely cute! While looking for pictures for this fic on Pinterest I came across this ship and was sold!

✧ Like yes. Big sister x Big brother! I bet they met at a park or coffee shop, somewhere familial and warm both babysitting their little brothers or bonding over being older siblings.
