   Summary

   The Watcher, the one who watches over everyone, showed Jean Grey the future waiting for Peter Parker.
   She refuses to let it happen to her only friend.
   Given one chance to change his fate, Jean stays behind to save Peter from the life that will eventually destroy him. But somewhere between fighting villains, surviving the consequences of changing the future, and getting to know the man beneath the mask more, Jean finds herself wanting something more than simply keeping Peter alive.
