Arin had his usual jobs to do. Well not really as he only observed from afar with Sora, that is that they observe and even help some couples in their friend group or even general circle. Especially about couples, why? Because apparently Wyldfyre said something to both of them a few days ago. Something like–
“You two are really bad at noticing some stuff or in any couple do… go observe someone if you can! Maybe you two could learn a thing or two!!”
Well both Arin and Sora were kinda curious. Well since their teams are mostly in relationship and also happily (and cringely) in love, apparently that also includes Riyu, surprisingly their little dragon already found an interest in a different female dragoness. (damn talking about how they got surpassed by their own dragon too…)
So far both of them already observed many couples that they spy or even seeing them when Arin and Sora are there. All of the couples like Jay and Kai, Wyldfyre and Roby, Euphrasia and Jordana, even Frak and Obscuria. They did try asking those couples how their love bloomed or simply how they realised that person is the one for them. But all of the questions are all vague with a knowing smile and grin, while telling them both with “you two will notice it one day”. Which was a very vague and unhelping answer if they may say about it. So now it only left them with more questions and defeatness.
Which they only learn that most of them are really that clingy and mushy with too much love doting. It’s not like it's bad though.
“Even Riyu is already eyeing a potential one… how about we asked Lloyd instead?” Sora suggested the first idea or more inspired since apparently they were curious. Arin shook his head, because he knows Lloyd fumbles twice. “Not gonna work… Lloyd is still moping around his failed yearning and fumbling relationship between him and Akita and also he still cannot move on from Harumi after all this time” he explained to her as both of them just sigh in defeat.
Meanwhile, far from the two, Lloyd was sneezing repeatedly and more harshly by the second. He even wondered if he just got a cold or if someone talked shit about him.
“So now what?” Arin asked again, as both him and Sora stood at the courtyard as they heard humming noises from inside the room. “Wanna check it out?” the pink haired girl suggested and grinning. But before the curly haired boy could answer, Sora already grabbed his hand and dragged them both to where the humming came from. She looked back at him and winked as they arrived from where the noises came from, they both saw Zane humming a song as he and Pixal waltz dancing with a romantic gaze at each other. Both teenagers look amazed by how pretty and elegant the scenery of both nindroids is, and with how soft the two around one another as both went for a kiss. Pixal then notices them as she smiles at them, “hello there Arin and Sora. what brings you two here?” she said as both her and Zane stopped waltzing.
Zane and Pixal looked at both of them as Arin cleared his throat but he immediately shut his mouth and pushed Sora to ask about it instead of him. “Wha- why me?!” she glares at him, “you’re the one who has the idea in the first place” he reasoned with her, as Sora just huffed and out. True it was her idea first, “fine. We were curious about how come you two have this healthy and beautiful relationship? Like how does it start?”
Both nindroids stare at each other and let out a small chuckle between them. Which made the other confused. Its the same one as other couples chuckling about. And that’s really confusing for Arin and even Sora, “what is it? Something wrong with our question?” the pink haired girl asked.
“Well if it's about how our love bloomed because we were… compatible. Back when it was still a new ninjago city, Zane fell for the first sight as he said. He also saved me from the overlord's control and gave me half of his core… it was romantic of him. And I really fall for him even more when I revealed myself as the samurai X.” Pixal said as she kissed Zane’s as he returned the kiss. “Love can form and bloom in many ways. Some people might not notice now but they will notice it sooner. The most important was that valued one another as equals with respect, boundaries and love” the titanium ninja explained to both teenagers as both him and Pixal left with smiling at them and to let them think about it.
The more they stood there in silence the more it made them more confused. Well in Sora’s cases anyway, but for Arin he knew what they meant by it. With the way both couples were smiling knowingly at him, especially the way he and Sora kept holding hands all the time, they didn't bother to pull away. “Oh… I guess they knew about it” he whispered quietly to himself as Sora still doesn’t get it.
She looked at him and tried to ask him about what they meant, “do you know what they were implying about?? The more we asked more people the more vague their answers were…” she says oblivious to what the other implies at them and more gave Arin a knowing glance or smile. They knew the thing between Arin’s feelings was genuine and more than just platonic. But Arin just gave her an unknown answer, lying about it. Well that explains everything for him even more.
