God, where would you even begin to search for them in a city this big?
It was a long, long day. After all the events that had transpired, you were reasonably tired. But currently you had a rather important task; that being finding Two Face, of course.
You had started your search maybe 30 minutes or so ago, making your way closer to where the main event of today transpired, hoping that they’d be closer to it.
They had a knack for chaos afterall!
Now you were in no means going to give up on finding Two Face.. however even at the center of the chaos you couldn’t locate them, and you were getting tired. Your worry overpowered your exhaustion for now, but you needed to hopefully find them soon.
Lost in thought in what to do, and the shouts of celebration sounding out around you, you didn’t hear a certain someone calling out your name from behind.
“BABY!!”
And suddenly, you’re engulfed in a bear hug from behind and swung around in the air.
You only stay panicked for a minute, because near instantly do you realize who it is after they put you down and you get a good look at them.
”Dent!!”
The hug you return is just as big, the relief that washes over your body is put into holding the man before you.
“Where have you been? I’ve been searching all over for you two!”
The hug ends as you speak, instead moving to hold hands as you give some space.
“We’ve been at the center of this chaos, just got done helping save the city. Two and I we’re a bit busy, sorry love.”
He holds your hands just as tight while giving you reassurance about his whereabouts, lightly laughing in the process.
“As long as you’re both safe..”
The sigh that escapes you isn’t annoyed as much as you’d like it to be, you know they can tell the fake annoyance apart from your worry anyway.
The silence between you both doesn’t last long, Two Face never manages to stay quiet for long compared to Harvey.
The voice is slightly more raspy than Harvey’s, but warm nonetheless. ”We’d be fine either way, nothing could harm us.”
”Whatever you say dork.” You snicker a bit, cracking a small smile from them.
In the end you’re glad everything is fine. The city is safe, Harvey and Two Face are in your hands, and the shouts of joy and celebration around you couldn’t make this moment any better.
Both men never fail to worry you relentlessly, but you never seem to mind anyway, in the end they’re always safe and sound.
