   Summary

   At the beginning of a new school year, chaotic single dad Ilya moves to the idyllic Canadian town of Maple Grove with his teen son Luca and meets Shane, the stoic owner of the local diner. Shane and Ilya are polar opposites, but somehow they keep finding themselves together...

   This fic is set in the early 2000s, but we'll be moving through the seasons and holidays in real time (back to school chapter in September, Thanksgiving in October etc), so for the most fun experience, I'd reccomend reading the chapters as they come out.
