Two plus two equal four

Summary:

Mirio and Tamaki take their kids to the park.

Work Text:

“Akai, you need shoes,” I say for the tenth time in the last two minutes. She doesn’t listen and instead decides to crawl under the bed to hide.

I wish she inherited Mirio’s personality instead of mine. She’s too young to get as anxious as I do.

I get closer to the bed and lay down on the floor. Shes looking at me as I look at her. “Hi,” she blinks at me. My own eyes staring back at me. But her eyes and personality is the only thing she got from me. All the rest is Mirio.

“I don’t want to go,” I frown.

“I thought you liked the park,”

She shakes her head. “No, Ren does. Not me,”

You can hang out with me and dad then,” her eyes light up.

“Really?”

“Yes,”

“Ok mama,” with that she’s crawling out from under the bed. She lets me put the shoes on her without struggle.

Once at the park ren runs off with the other kids while Akai opts to hide behind Mirio. I’m currently leaning half against him. He has an arm wrapped around me as I rest my head on his shoulder watching ren play.

Ren runs over and grabs Akai’s arm. “Come on. It will be fun,” she looks down before running off with him.

“How did we end up with two pups just like us?” I ask.

He kisses the top of my head. “We could also try for a third. Maybe they'll get an equal amount of both of us,” he suggests and I roll my eyes.

“We can hardly handle two,” he squeezes me.

“We can make it work,”

“You say that now,” he smiles at that. As if that’s a challenge. Knowing him it probably Is.
