Summary
You were born knowing that your fate was to be consumed. Lions ripping apart a zebra. Crocodiles snapping down on a gazelle. Sharks thrashing a seal.
All of them eaten. You always watched, enraptured with a sick feeling at the scenes. You couldn’t look away, not until there was nothing left. Then, later, in the dark, you would see eyes where there were none and feel, impossibly, teeth.
They weren’t nightmares. You weren’t asleep when your body locked in terror.
