Work Text:
The tall grass swayed into the whispers of melody from the wind. The sun shine brightly above their heads, compromising beautifully with the white clouds.
Underneath it were a couple. They sat down at the top of the hill, their hairs hitting their faces from the wind that climbed alongside them, it's whispers relied by crisp laughs. Beside them was a little picnic bascet carrying a few apples, oranges, and pears.
"Aw, Vic! You know me so well!" The woman laughed, tucking her hair being her ear.
The man called Vic scratched the back of his neck, face reddening with embarrassment, "W- well... You did tell me you liked picnics, Mitsi..."
Mitsi blushed, a smile spreading widely across her face. She twisted her body to grab a few apples from the bascet she brought. Offering one to Victim, one to herself, and another for their sheep.
It was silent for a while. The only sound that kept them company were the whispers of wind rustles of the leaves from the tree looming above their heads. They nibbled on their apples, enjoying the peace and silence.
"Oh, I missed this place!" Mitsi broke the silence, "We've gotten so busy with our company that we hardly get a break!"
"Mostly because we keep getting involved every second. Telling everyone what to do and showing them how to do it."
"Not all of them know what to do! I feel bad for the rookies."
Victim chuckled, "You gotta be cruel sometimes, Mitsi. Or they'll never learn."
"Agent is great help. He always knows what to do. And he's a monster. Unlike me, of course. That helps."
They met the young man only recently, but he quickly grew close with the two. Though he can be quite demanding, Victim had always valued his presence. From his perspective, Agent is everything Victim wanted to be. If only he hadn't been stuck with Alan for years...
Well, he didn't want to dwell on it too much.
The sun slowly started to dip from the horizon. They didn't even realize how long they've been there, nibbling on apples and simply enjoying the view. Sometimes chatting about new friends, remembering old ones... It was calm that Victim had learned to value so much. A moment that, in the past, healed his deepest trauma and pulled him into a new, better tomorrow.
Mitsi was his guiding light. And he'd be the sunflower that follows her anywhere.
Always.
