i’m just going to put it here to remember…
I like to think Dark automatically goes for a slightly more articulate way of speaking. There are moments where they say stuff like "foolish" instead of "dumb" when they're caught off guard. And that's because Dark is an unreliable narrator and when they say they never grappled with it, they're lying to themselves. They have. They don't want to be seen as The Dark Lord. They want to be seen as Dark. And Dark talks informally, casually, and a lot. I don't know if that comes across, but hopefully it will if it's in future fics. Similarly, Chosen is prone to idly standing straight, chin up, Heroic, sort of? And they force themselves to slouch when they catch it. It's in the little things.i genuinely gotta read it again with this new outlook (it wont be the last time)
