Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Bakugo and the damn extras, or as the extras like to call themselves, the Bakusquad all lived together in one big house you would see in a fake ass reality TV show where all the people inside are a bunch of problematic live and yell at each other for a living.

Bakugo thought it was a horrible idea when Sero suggested it.

After graduation, everyone in the squad went straight into being pro heros. Mina went and lived with her parents, and so did Sero and Denki. Jirou was living on her own in a small apartment, but she complained all the time in the group chat how she was barely surviving off of her sidekick salary. Bakugo and Kirishima decided to live in an apartment together, be roommates.

So, the idea was brought up at their monthly hang outs.

It was at Kirishima's and Bakugo's apartment, for some reason. Jirou said she would die if anyone saw her apartment, and the rest didn't want to bother their parents.

Mina sighed, falling onto the couch and almost crushing Jirou, who was pasted the fuck out after eating.

"It sucks living with my parents!" She complained, rolling over so Jiro would have her space.

"Everytime I'm not at work, they make me do more! I'm either actually working, or working on chores!" She rambled on.

Denki was sat on the beanbag chair, with Sero next to him in a matching beanbag chair.

"Tell me about it." Denki grumbled.

"I feel ya, pinky." Sero commented. They all stayed quiet, expect for Jirou's small snores. Sero suddenly perked up, a wide grin on his face.

"I know guys! Why don't we all rent out a house together?" Sero suggested. Mina perked up, a grin taking over her face.

"Great idea, Sero! Jirou, wake up!" She exclaimed, shaking the sleeping Jirou awake. The purple haired girl groaned, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"Wait, that could work." Denki commented before he got a death glare from Bakugo.

"No." He simply said. Mina groaned, slumping over slightly.

"Come on, dude, you and Kirishima live together, what's wrong with a bigger house and maybe some more people? I'm sure the rent would be cheaper with so many people, and we can split the bills!" Mina proposed. Everyone nodded along in agreement with her.

Bakugo frowned, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Still no." He answered blandly. Denki sighed, tilting his head to the side.

"Why not, bro?" He asked. Bakugo huffed.

"Because I don't want to deal with you brats!" He huffed out. Everyone groaned until Kirishima came in and saved the day.

"Then just set boundaries? It's what me and you did, Katsuki, and we're operating completely fine." He suggested, giving Bakugo a soda he asked for.

The red riot heroes hair was full of foils. Everytime their friends decided hang outs, it's always around the time Kirishima needs to redo his roots. The bathroom was permanently stained red. Bakugo swore on it.

"See? Kiri gets us." Sero interjected. Bakugo rolled his eyes, but he sat up a bit.

"Okay, maybe but we have to declare boundaries, costs, shit like that before we even consider doing this." Bakugo thought out.

So, for the rest of the evening, they talked about boundaries and costs and the potential house they could live in together in the future.

Once everyone left, Bakugo swore that he was never going to be living in a house with all of those 'dumbass'.

So here he is now, driving back to the house he lives with all the people he swore to Kirishima he would not live in a house with.

They lived in a two-story house, with three rooms and two bathrooms. The bottom half was pretty big, containing the living room, kitchen, one of the two bathrooms, the master bedroom which Mina and Jirou shared, and a den which they just turned into a hangout room.

The upstairs just contained the other two rooms, which Denki and Sero shared one, Bakugo and Kirishima shared the other. The other bathroom was also upstairs.

It was a bit chaotic at first. They had a small pool in the backyard that none of them knew about. Mina wanted to throw parties all the time, but after the disaster of the first one, he banned parties that contained the entire neighborhood, which contained the entire population of frat college kids.

After a few months, everything seemed to chill out. Everyone was busy with their jobs anyways.

Bakugo had a concern, it was Mina and Kirishima. They used to date back in their third year of highschool, but ended shortly after graduation. Mina had stated that through the entire thing, she didn't feel any romantic love for Kirishima. It broke the red riot hero for the first couple of months. He eventually got over after time, but times where he got too wasted, he blabbed about being wanted and loved. They acted fine during their monthly hang outs, but he still had his concerns.

But he didn't need to worry, because the two were completely fine. He was worrying about Kirishima for nothing.

Alas, the explosion hero pulled up to the driveway of his shared house and parked his house. It was late and he hadn't checked the group chat all day.

- Bakusquad GC! -

Shitty hair: sorry guys, the case im working on is long, wont be home until late tn! Sorry i cant make dinner this time!

Pikachu: dw abt it! I'll pick up everyone favs from that noodle shop downtown!

Pinky: thanks denks!

Ears: u got my order wrong

Spider-Man 2.0: how the hell did you get our orders wrong but not Bakugo's?

Pikachu: his is easy!

Ears: whatever you say

Bakugo sighed. He had already ate at his agency. And he wouldn't get to see Kirishima until late that night.

One embarrassing thing about Bakugo is that he couldn't seem to sleep unless someone was near him. It was after the war where Bakugo found out he couldn't even let his eyes fall. So he decided to just lounge in Kirishima's room. He quickly fell asleep in the comfort of shitty hairs room.

That's partially why they moved in together after graduation. Bakugo never really voiced his weird sleeping habits, but Kirishima caught on quick. He was nice enough to not make fun of the weird habit, although.

So Bakugo was a bit pissed when he found out Kirishima would be home late. And he was already grumpy because the food he ate wasn't as spicy it could've been. Shitty day.

Once he walked into living room, he found Denki lounging out on the couch rather than in his room. It was late, and Denki was usually in his room by this point.

"Hey, Sparky, whad'a doing out here?" Bakugo asked. Denki looked up from his phone, yawning.

"Shoto's car is here and so is Sero. I decided to play it safe by not going near the damned room." He explained. Bakugo nodded, understanding.

The two started dating earlier into the year. While they kept it mild in public, poor Denki walked in on them together one day after patrolling all day. He makes sure to be cautious whenever he sees Shoto's car in the driveway.

The half-and-half boy had his own apartment, so Bakugo was pissed at times whenever Shoto was always at their house, but then again, Endeavor found Shoto's address, so the great hero was at his son's house, seeking validation from the moody kid. So Bakugo sympathized a bit. But the next time the two were too loud, he was kicking both of them out.

Bakugo was already on his way heading up the stairs when he got an idea. He was sure Sparky wouldn't mind.

So, the blonde shuffled over to Denki, who was mindlessly scrolling on his phone when a large blonde suddenly was on top of him.

Denki squealed, his dropping his phone in the progress so he wouldn't be crushed.

"Baku-DUDE GET OFF ME!" Denki yelled, but Bakugo was already out like a light. Denki sighed, wiggling a bit so he was in a more comfortable position and not crushed by the dead weight of Bakugo.

He frowned when he realized he was basically stuck without any entertainment and underneath a guy who would blow up his face if he breathed wrong. Just Denki's luck.

After wallowing in his defeats, Sero came downstairs from their shared room. His hair was a big mess and he was just wearing boxers. They didn't even look like his. Denki grimaced, thinking back to the day where he accidentally walked on his friends doing some...activities.

"Hey denks, and- Bakugo?" He asked. Denki sighed, adjusting himself a bit underneath Bakugo.

"He's passed out cold on me. Could you get my phone please? I've been dying for the past 10 mintues without entertainment." Denki complained. He was making grabbing motions with his hand. Bakugo had his arms around Denki's neck, and his face in the crook of yellow haired boys neck. Denki's arms were a bit trapped under Bakugo, but his hands were free.

"Sure." Sero replied, picking up the phone. Before he handed it off, he took a picture of the two of them tangled up. Denki laughed once he got the phone back.

"How much do you wanna bet he'll be furious if I post this picture?" Denki asked Sero, who was wandering into the kitchen.

"You'll be dead meet, dude." Sero said, walking back into the living room with two water bottles.

Denki smirked. Already opened Instagram.

"It'll be worth it." He replied. Sero rolled his eyes, heading to the staircase.

"Don't come crying to me once you find ass burnt from being exploded."

Denki giggled at Sero's comment while already making the post. He tagged Bakugo in the picture and added in the caption 'big baby fell asleep on me'.

•••

Denki was expecting maybe 50 likes on the post. He was a pretty well known hero, but he wasn't as famous as Bakugo was or Shoto. He had a nice amount of follows on Instagram. He wasn't expecting anything huge from the post. Maybe some people just commenting laughing emojis. He was expecting all the likes to be from friends honestly.

So when he opened Instagram again the same night and almost saw over 100,000 likes on his post, he was freaking out.

Bakugo's fans were freaking out. They were filled in the comments.

Kitty_02: aww, Dynamite looks so cute sleeping!

Bakufan_22: PLS TELL ME YOU TWO ARE DATING THIS IS SO CUTE!

Pinky!: LOL BAKUGO IS PASSED OUT 🤣

Mina was one of the comments, and there were a bunch of replies about asking her how she knew Dynamite. Denki was so dead, but he loved seeing all the comments. Everyone was going to get a hell of a laugh after seeing all the dating and shipping comments.

Little did he know, Kirishima would not laugh at all.

•••

Kirishima was exhausted. He was working on a case for a few days now with Fat Gum. It was a missing person case and they believed a new annoying villain was at blame. They finally got a search warrant to the place they believed the villains hide out. Turned out it was just an old man who lived there, but the old man was the villain! Fat Gum realized it the last second and the guy was already gone! So they spent the entire day searching for the guy and capturing him. They finally got the missing person back and to their family.

After all the adrenaline, blood pumping part was done, the really fucking boring part came next. The paperwork. It was already late by the time Kirishima got back to his agency to even start the paperwork. He could just go home and worry about it the next day, but then that means missing out morning patrol the next morning! So Kirishima decided to punish himself down to the chair and computer and he started to type away.

He was already regretting his decision once it was past 22:00 It was supposed to be his turn to cook dinner that night, but he couldn't and sent a quick text to the group chat. Thank God Denki was off that day so he could easily cover dinner.

Kirishima didn't pick his phone back up until what it felt like hours later, and he was right. It was almost 1 o'clock in the morning by the time he was done with his work. He finally picked his phone up and checked his notifications.

"Katsuki made it home...random tweets, huh, Denki posted on Instagram?" Kirishima mumbled to himself. He clicked the notification, curiosity getting the better of him.

The post of an image of Denki, and Bakugo. Bakugo was out cold on Denki, and the yellow haired boy was just smiling cheeky. The caption said 'big baby fell asleep on me'. The post was honestly going viral. With over 100,000 likes and almost a million views. Kirishima felt disappointed in himself. He totally forgot about Bakugo's sleeping habit!

So either he would've stayed up and waited till Kirishima came home, or the second option, which was what he obviously did, fall asleep on Kaminari. Kirishima quickly rushed out of his office, not even bothering on looking at the comments and getting into his civilian clothes and rushing to get home.

Once he pulled into the driveway and walked into the home, it was quiet. Denki seemed to be half awake and half asleep on the couch with sleeping Bakugo on top of him. Kirishima creeped silently over to the couch, he gently flicked Denki's phone to alter him that he was there.

"Sup denks, ima see if I can get this dude off of ya." Kirishima told him. Kaminari dropped his phone on his chest and nodded.

"Thanks man." He whispered. Kirishima nodded before reaching for Bakugo. He tried to pry the heroes arms from Kaminari's neck, but Bakugo's sleeping form refused.

"Hmm...no." Bakugo whispered in his sleep, snuggling closer to Denki. The yellow haired man sighed, accepting his defeat.

"At least I know tha guy likes me." He joked dryly.

"Hard to believe." Jiro suddenly said, walking towards the kitchen.

"Shut up!" Denkis whispered-yelled. Kirishima could see the blush that tainted his cheeks. He knew it wasn't because of Bakugo, it was because he had a giant crush on Jiro since their first year and he hasn't done anything about it.

Kirishima sighed, waving Kaminari off and turning to leave up to his shared room with Bakugo. Expect this time, there was no Bakugo.

Kirishima had this weird feeling deep in his stomach that he wanted to punch out or something. It was annoying. He had a hunch for what it was, and he didn't want it to be right.

He curled up in his bed, hugging his pillow tight to his chest.

"I'm not jealous of Kaminari..." Kirishima said to himself.

Bakugo only passed out on Kaminari because he knew Kirishima would be late to coming home that night. But then another thought popped in the red-head's mind.

Am I not good enough to wait for?

"Ugh! Stop it!" Kirishima scolded himself. He pressed his pillow hard to his head, trying to get the thoughts out of his head.

He was starting to think they both had the same sleeping problem, because Kirishima didn't get any sleep that night. But then again, he wouldn't sleep just fine if it was anyone random. He was sure he could only fall asleep with Bakugo near him, and it was eating him alive.
