Summary
Fame, pressure, and expectations can build a career but they can also destroy everything else.
When Paige Bueckers entered the WNBA as the number one pick, she was ready to prove herself to the world. What she wasn't ready for was how quickly everything else in her life started to unravel including her relationship with Azzi Fudd, the one person who had always been her constant.
What started as distance turned into silence.
And silence turned into goodbye. Now, Dallas holds the first-round pick again and Azzi just happens to be the top prospect. Reunited as teammates, their chemistry on the court is undeniable. Off the court? That's where everything gets complicated.
Between stolen glances, lingering touches, and words left unsaid, the line between friendship and something more begins to blur again. But some damage doesn't fade with time, and some love never really heals.
The question isn't whether they still feel something.
It's whether they're strong enough to try again.
