what do you think about fear itself? imagine being locked in the labyrinth of your own mind with something to lose your respect, your friendships your dignity? all that you've worked so hard for?
it was supposed to be a normal mission yeah that did not go as planned. So let's tell this story of how my team found out my identity in the worst most self incriminating, embarrassing and horrifying way possible
Monday October 5 6:30 pm
it was a pretty normal day Megan was baking something and Connor superviseing to make sure nothing burned. I wasn't really paying attention to that Artemis was in the other room probably shooting her bow or something to get some practice in for that day. i had already finished my training that day, me and Wally was sitting on the couch and I no offense to him wait actually yeah offense to him I was beating his ASS at Mario cart
" Rob bro I swear to god if you somehow hacked the game again I will murder you with my own hands " kf said uncharacteristicly serious for the red headed teenager . I could tell he was getting frustrated it was hilarious. but then something had to ruin all the fun
It was Bruce or batman because no one else knew the bats real name. The sound of his heavy boots hitting the ground as he walked into the room made every one freeze except me putting my head in my hands I thought it was going to be a good day. But nope nevermind my never-ending existential dread. living with batman for 4 almost 5 years since I was eight and being 14 now lets me know little things and let's you notice subtle things like how he walks by mood . this walk he was putting on was no good i could already feel the future broken bones coming i sighed like a man already tired of life.
" mission debrief in five " batman said Megan looked worried Artemis looked annoyed. kaldor still with the most dead pan expression as ever like the 90 percent of times i did look at him. Bats gave me a long look. knowing him for so long let me look under the mask . He ...he was worried? for me and then there seeing him worried. one of the men with the most control over his emotions i know made my anxiety spike though the roof. batman left the room to ourselves again.
I'm guessing Connor hread my heart rate spike too. because the next words from him asked indeed that " hey Robin are you ok? your heart rate is crazy fast like worringly fast "the team turned to me in anstapashon of what I would say. " i think somethings wrong ..... " i tailed off " something is off " i could almost see all there stomachs drop at my tone of voice"
kf looked at me worried. I was still looking at where my father batman once stood . what the hell happened to him ? robin got up ,he looked shaken? was that the right word for it? no most likely not but it was the only word I could come up with. God i wish I knew his name. his REAL name not rob not robin not Robbie his real name so I could call after him and knowing he would listen to me and ask what was wrong but knowing him I knew better than to try when he was in this mood shaken scared I presume? he won't talk no matter how hard you try and the harder you did try the freather he would retreat. that was one thing he hated robin got from bats.
