It was few days after Green and White sprouted their beans, Minty and Mossy.
Both had alien parts from Green, but where able to hide it as simple mutations. Both are starting to learn how to walk, since Crewmate beans learn how to walk and talk at only few weeks old.
Skeld was landing in Industria, everyone had their bags packed and where ready to go home.
When Skeld landed. Ore+ was being transported when everyone was packing away.
A Golden colored Crewmate went to them, and congratulated Red. But then they saw White and Green, holding their beans.
,,Uhm..Congratulations on beans. Have a 25% off coupon to MIRAmart.”
,,Thanks...Can we go? We have to meet our families.” White said, while looking at the coupon like it personaly destroyed their favorite polo shirt.
,,Alright. Go this way, we will get you a Taxi.” Green took the coupon, and the couple went to the parking lot. Waiting for a Taxi. After few minutes, a yellow car picked them up.
Taxi was driven by a Grey colored Crewmate. ,,Where is your destination?” They asked with a tired tone.
,,Could you please drive us to Marble Street number 4?” White directed the taxi driver. And after putting the adress in the navigation. They started driving.
During the drive, Minty and Mossy looked outside the windows in awe.
Suburbian neighbourhoods slowly started to dissapear. And got replaced with rich and really big mansions.
Taxi stopped before a mansion. And the driver said. ,,That will be 50 beans.” Green didn’t have any beans on them. But White took a wallet out of their backpack and gave the driver 100 beans.
After that they took their beans and luggage. Taxi drove away, and White ringed the entry phone. From which sounded a voice.
,,Hello? Who’s that?”
,,Papa! It’s me! White. I came back from the trip! And I have someone I want you too meet!”
,,Alright. Come in.” The gate opened, and they went though it.
White opened the ivory doors, and they went inside. The house was so...rich. That it made Green’s head spin.
,,White. Who is that?” Two crewmates were standing before them. One had a Pearl necklace and wore a glittery Black dress, while the other one had sunglasses and a grey buisness suit.
,,That’s Green! We are married! They are awesome! I love them so so much and they are so so cute! And these are out beans! Minty and Mossy! They look like that because of a...genetic mutation...yeah. Genetic mutation. It’s not like my life partner is an alien. Nooo.” White rambled to their parents. While their beans tried to reach out to their grandparents.
,,White...why did you married...a colored crewmate?” One of White’s parents said with visible disgust.
,,Because I love them. It’s nothing else to it.’’
,,Who carried them?” White knew that this question meant everything. So they decided to answer them truthfully.
,,We both carried. I carried Mossy, while Green carried Minty.”
,,Alright...you may go now. We don’t want anything to do with...them. Oh White, you could have get married to someone of your color. But you had to dissapoint us.”
,,Wait. You don’t even want to hold my beans? Your grandbeans!? You always are like this! Come on Green. We are going to our house. The house I bought with MY MONEY. And I don’t hive a fuck about who YOU wanted me to marry! I love Green! They make me happy!” White said that and walked out of their parents home, while holding Green’s hand and showed their parents a middle finger.
White lead Green to a house few streets over. It was a nice, modern house on a hill, with a look on the sea.
The pair went to White’s bedroom. That now also belonged to Green and for now, Minty and Mossy. Until they transform the guest room into a room for their beans.
,,Do you have a phone White? I need to talk with my parents to not worry.”
White gave them their own phone. It was in a nice lavenders case covered in white flowers and leaves.
Green took the phone, and put in their parent's number. After a moment of waiting. A familiarnie voice answered.
,,Hello, Pear Leaf on the phone.”
,,Dad! It’s me Green! I came back from the intership today. But I am at someone I met on Skeld. I’ll try to get home tomorow.”
,,Green! My sweet bean. How was the intership? Did you had fun?”
,,Well. It went well. Beside the fact that on the first day an asteroid hit us. But i’m okay! I promise! I’ve met many new friends! I got all of their phone numbers! And..I got someone..I mean. I am with someone. I have a partner!’’
,,Really? I wanna meet them! Are they with you?”
,,Yeah. Dear, do you wanna talk with my parent, their name is Pear.”
,,Of course Greenie!” Green gave the phone to White who was happy to meet their partner’s family. ,,Hi! My name is White! Nice to meet you!”
,,Hello dear. My name is Pear. I hope you are being good for my bean.”
,,Of course! I would rather eject myself into space then hurt them.”
White and Pear talked for about 15 minutes. Pear started to like their bean’s partner. And are exited to meet the crewmate Green loves.
But White looked.. sad. Green hugged them and asked a question.
,,Are you ok honey?”
,,No...why are they. Like this. When I was a bean they told me that they will accept whoever I bring home. But I guess they meant it only if you were white, or maybe grey. They didn’t even want to hold our beans.” White started crying and Green stroked the back of their head. Trying to comfort them.
They fell asleep, embraicing eachother, while Mossy and Minty were sleeping on top of them.
Green had a nightmare though. In the nightmare. They killed White, Blue, then Orange killed Lime and got ejected, then they killed Cyan and made everyone think Yellow killed them and they got ejected, then killed Brown, and Black after they figured it out. And then tried to kill Captain Red and Purple. With the help of their victims corpses.
But they were killed by Captain Red and Purple. After that they woke up, terrified. They could’t focus and their alien traits were out.
,,Greenie? Are you ok? Did you have a nightmare?” White asked them, they were holding Minty and feeling them sugar water.
,,White...would you still love me if I had killed you then?”
,,I would, but.. what made you think about it Greenie?”
,,In my nightmare...I killed you, and Blue, Orange killed Lime and got ejected, then I killed Cyan, and made others think that Yellow killed them, then killed Brown, and Black. And tried to kill Captain and Purple...with the help of...your dead body.”
,,Hey. Greenie. This didn’t happen. No one died on Skeld. But rather. Two new lives were created. And we fell in love. Remember Greenie. I will always love you~.” White told Green, while wiping their tears and singing a verse from their favorite country singer, Peach.
,,You sap. I love you too. And will never stop. Are you ready to go and meet my family?”
,,Phisicly? Yes. I showered, have nice clothes, bathed and feed our beans. But mentaly. Not really, i’m really stressed Grennie!”
,,It’s ok. They will love you!”
Green got ready, and Ivory – Leaf family went to the garage, where a simple red pickup waited.
,,Wow. I thought you gonna have some kind of super rich crewmate car, but I didn’t expect that.”
,,What can I say. I like simple cars. The new stuff aren’t that sturdy, or nice looking like the old stuff.”
Green laughed, and threset out. To Green’s family farm.
Rock house were slowly replaced by a forest, and then farm places.
Green told their partner to pull over onto a medium sized farm, with fruit trees, a silo and a barn.
There was also a brick – wood hybrid house. Before it stood three crewmates.
One of them had a sunhat, and wore patched up overarls with a ribbon in a shade of their partner, the one next to them, had jeans and a flanel shirt. With a neck ribbon. There was also a bean, with a simple dress on.
Green wanted to come out as soon as White started to pull over. But White showed them their alien traits were visible. So they quicly hid them, gave White their beans and started to run towards their family. Leaving a flabbergasted White.
Green was hugging their family, White looked at them, after going out of the car with their beans.
Forest, the one in jeans and flanel, saw White and what they had on their hands, and gasped.
,,Green! You had beans!?” Pear and Apple also saw the few days old beans in White’s hands.
,,Yeah. This in Minty, and this is Mossy. I carried Minty, and White carried Mossy!” Green said proudly, while White gave their beans them to hold. Pear hold Minty, while Forest hold Mossy.
,,They are so fugly. I love ‘em!” Pear stated, and started crying.
,,Green, why are they like that?” Apple asked, pointing at their obviously non crewmate traits.
,,We, will tell you inside. And it has to stay a secret.”
,,Are you sure you want them to know Greenie?”
,,Yes, I do. They are my family, they deserve to know.”
,,Know what? Did something happened while on your intership?” Forest asked, with anxiety in their voice.
,,I’ll tell you everything inside. Don’t wanna the old Arsenic to hear it and tell everyone in the local area.”
They went inside. White was charmed by the simplicity of the house. The walls were painted in a nice light green color. And all of the furniture was made by hand with love. This little house had more love and care in it and giant mansion where White grew up.
They sat around a table in the kitchen. Green’s parents made them tea and some sugar water for the beans. Since they can’t eat anything solid until they are few months old.
White was busy with looking at Green’s pictures from the time they were just a bean. They took liking to the picture of them in a homemade captain costume for Halloween.
After tea was ready and beans fed.
It was the time for the story.
