Colin: Hey! Didn’t want to bother you earlier since you were out with the girls, but just wanted to check if the packages were delivered. My app is being wonky so I didn’t get a photo confirmation or anything.
Pen: I just got home and yes! They were outside my door.
Colin: Awesome!! I got worried that maybe they messed it up. Have you opened them yet?
Pen: I just grabbed a knife and was about to!
Colin: Great, keep me updated. I hope you didn’t have a difficult time bringing them in, not sure how heavy the boxes might have been.
Penelope frowned slightly as she looked at the packages on the table. They weren’t tiny, but they certainly weren’t huge or heavy. She shrugged, eager to open them and see what Colin had ordered.
Carefully sliding the knife through the tape on the first one, she bit her lip as she peeled it open, moving aside some packing peanuts as she pulled out the first item. It was a long, slim, rectangular box. As she brought it up to her face, her eyes widened and she let out a little involuntary noise from the back of her throat.
