Chapter Text
Jake was driving Bradley home after a long night at the hard deck with the rest of the dagger squad when he suddenly hears a siren coming from behind. He pulls his truck over to the side and waits for the cop. A cop walks up to the window and gestures to roll down the window. "Son do you know why I pulled you over." The cop says while starting to write the ticket. "I don't know sir?" Jake says uncertainly while tapping his thumbs on the steering wheel. "You where going 30 over the speed limit in a residential area. I am going to need your license and registration." Jake takes them out hand hands it to the cop. He looks at the license for a bit before taking a step back. "I need you to step out of the car sir." So Jake does as the cop says not wanting to get in more trouble. "Now I can smell the alcohol on you but I ain’t going to say anything because right now all I want is a hug from legendary Chad powers." The cop says removing his sunglasses. "Holy shit coach Dobbs is that you. Fuck man how are you doing?" Jake says while hugging the cop. "I'm not bad and it's officer Martin riggs now" he shows his wedding ring. "And I am guessing by that outfit your a pilot now." Riggs looks at Jake's top gun uniform he is still wearing. "Yeah sir I am. And the names Jake seresin aka hangman now." He says confidently. "Wait i thought your name was Russ Holliday and or Chad Powers when I knew you?" Riggs says slightly confused. "It was Russ Holliday but after my football career ended with Chad I changed it to my mother's last name seresin. Also russ was my middle name I only went by when I played foot ball." Jake says while leaning against his car. "Well jake it was nice to see again. Here is my number in case you want to watch a match on sometime." Riggs hands him a paper with his number on it before heading out in his cop car. Jake enters his truck again. "Sorry about that roo. But hey at least I got out of the ticket." Jake says while starting the truck up again. "You are going to have to explain a lot when we get home." Bradley says while only looking out the passenger window. "Yeah I figured as much. At least this isn't my first rodeo" Jake says quietly while continuing there drive home.
