Chapter Text
It's been 3 months since the start of university. Gun was happy, busy but happy. He had Kong as a best friend. He found three new friends. It was good. Faifa, one of his new friends was a surprise for him. But he liked him anyway. And he was thankful that Kong could actually sleep with the lights on.
"Let's not go to Bang On. I'll take you all to my brother's bar." Faifa said.
"You have a brother that owns a bar?"
"He and his two friends. But yeah." Faifa replied.
"I thought your brother was in our university?" Franc asked.
"I have two brothers. The oldest one owns the bar."
"Rich people." Kong chuckled.
And that's how Gun found himself in a new bar with his friends. It had some signs all over and Gun overall found the bar nice. Gun is not a drinker. He cannot handle many drinks for the life of him, and yet he already had two drinks.
"We should definitely cut down on the bar trips na friends." A tipsy Kong said.
Gun eyed him. "You're the one who makes the plans." He said.
"I make plans to go live in some other country forever too friend. But I'm still here na."
Gun just rolled his eyes. He stood up and announced, "I'm going to get some fresh air. I feel stuffy."
"Be careful." Faifa called behind.
Gun made his way out, he walked a little further from the door only two find two guys. He stopped. The two of them looked angry. Gun widened his eyes.
'Am I about to be a witness to a fight? Damn- it doesn't look good.' Gun thought.
Gun, being the nosy person he is, decided to play an out and take them away from each other.
Yes he knows it's a bad decision.
Gun took a deep breath and walked towards them.
"Teerak~" Gun softly called grabbing one of the two guy's arm.
Gun felt the guy stiffen and look at him. He paused as he finally looked at the guy.
'Handsome.'
The look in the stranger's eyes confused Gun, because he looked like he knew him.
"I thought we were going home?" Gun continued his act, hoping the stranger would take the hint.
The stranger didn't say anything.
"Ai'Yotha! Since when did you get a boyfriend? Or is he a fake one too?" The other guy asked, anger nowhere gone.
"None of your damn business." Yotha said.
'Yotha~ mm. Cute name.' Gun thought to himself and smiled.
"Do you know him mm?" Gun cutely looked up.
Yotha blinked. "Nobody important."
The other guy got a phone call and left from there. Gun waited, still attached to Yotha's arm. As soon as the other guy was out of sight Gun stood up properly and kept some distance between them. He looked at Yotha who was expecting answers.
"What? I just saved you."
"I can fight." Yotha took offense.
"Well, I wouldn't want to see blood and bruises on your handsome face. So..." Gun grinned.
Yotha blinked. "Gun, are you drunk?"
Gun paused. "How do you know my name?"
"Uh- you're Fai's friend?"
Gun widened his eyes. "How do you know Fai?"
"I'm his brother?"
Gun blinked in confusion. 'He can't be the owner brother. Oh! It's the other brother.'
Gun pointed. "Oh. Oh, you're him. The one that goes to our university."
"Yeah."
"Anyways, I'm gonna go inside before my friends get worried." Gun took a step closer. "You, be good, don't get into fights." He gave Yotha a few head pats and went away, keeping his cool.
But as soon as he was out of Yotha's eyesight, he closed his eyes and hid his face in his hands.
'God! Oh my god! What did I do?' Gun wants the earth to swallow him.
There were rumours about Faifa's brother. While Faifa denied many weird rumours, some were true. As handsome as he looks, he is just as rude and cold. Anger is always on his nose and can fight you any second.
'I am so gone. Teerak? I even called him Teerak!'
Gun hurried back to his friends.
___
Outside, Yotha stood frozen.
'What the heck just happened?' Yotha wondered.
His not-crush just acted as his boyfriend to break out the upcoming fight between him and Klao. And the said not-crush called him Teerak. He believes it was because Gun didn't know his name.
It was like a little glimpse of a relationship with him. He shook his head. And he might have like the head pat a little too much but he won't admit that to anyone.
Yotha remembers the first time he saw Gun. It was on the orientation day. They were all sat down and were meeting their peer mentor. That was the first time Yotha saw Gun, on the stage smiling. He was cute. He is cute.
Gunyukhol
Gun.
The name took a place in his heart. He wished he could see him more and hoped it not being his first and last time.
That was hopeless. He was hopeless. That too for a guy he only saw once. And it was ironic for someone who had decided not to fall in love again. But that was before he met the cute guy.
Then a few days later, he found Gun on his brother's social media story. So he asked when Faifa came back.
"You went somewhere?" Yotha asked.
"Yeah. I got friends unlike you."
"Tsk- shut up." Yotha did not want to hear that.
"Anyways, I went to eat in the nearby restaurant."
"And they're your friends?"
"Yeah. Why? What got you so curious?"
"Nothing."
And Yotha rejected the attempts of getting him to explain from Faifa. He was not going to tell Faifa about his little crush on Gun. Not until he has officially talked to the other.
And now Yotha had finally talked to Gun. Well, the other approached him first. Not the first impression he wanted Gun to have. But he'll make sure the next many more impressions would be better.
With a little smirk, he goes back inside and from the door he tries to find his brother.
"Who are you looking for?" A voice came from behind.
Yotha flinched. "God! Newton!" He exclaimed.
He then saw Nop and Warich.
"So?" Newton asked.
"Fai. I'm his ride home." Yotha faked a reason. He wasn't but Faifa would need one by the time they're done.
"You're not bruised." Warich said.
Yotha scoffed. "Well, I have better things to do than fight your little boyfriend."
'Well, I wouldn't want to see blood and bruises on your handsome face.'
Yotha cleared his throat when he felt flush creep on his cheeks. He saw Faifa at the same moment.
"Oh- found him."
And without another word Yotha made his way to the table.
___
Gun sat down at his previous seat, embarrassed.
"Why do you look like that?" Fai asked.
"Nothing nothing." Gun lied. He couldn't possibly say I pretended to be your brother's boyfriend so he doesn't fight someone.
Faifa didn't look like he was convinced but seemed a little too drunk to question it. Gun was glad for once that Fai was drunk more than he is.
"Anyways, we should go back." Franc said. "It's too late."
"Yeah."
"Book and I will share a cab since we live in the same building. What about you?"
"I called us a ride too. Don't worry." Fai answered.
"A ride? When?"
Before Fai could answered they heard a 'Hey'. Gun looked up at the source only to be surprised to see Yotha standing there.
"See, the ride is here." Fai stood up and wrapped an arm around his brother's shoulder. But Yotha was looking right at Gun.
Gun blinked and looked away, drinking the remaining watery drink he had left.
"So, when are we leaving?" Yotha asked.
"Right now." Kong stood up, not as weirded out as he would've been if he was sober.
And they were out of the bar the next minute. Franc and Book went first in their cab while Yotha told them to wait while he brings the car.
'I hope he doesn't talk about the thing from earlier.'
"Are we going to get killed?" Kong drunkenly asked.
Faifa laughed. "Guys- I told you he is not a serial killer! He just looks like that 24 hours. You'll get used to it once you're around more."
They saw a car stop in front of them. Faifa instantly got in the backseat. Gun was hoping to follow him but Kong got in before he could.
"The sober-est one should sit in front. Safe that way." Kong reasoned.
Gun internally groaned and quietly sat in the front. Yotha had smirked and mentally thanked Kong for doing that.
"Wake me up when we get there." Faifa announced before closing his eyes, Kong followed right after.
Gun shook his head. "How can you get drunk in so less?" He muttered.
Perth looked at him. "Fai's always been a lightweight."
Gun looked up. "Oh-"
"We sneaked our brother's secret alcohol bottle on Fai's 18th birthday."
Gun widened his eyes. "No way! What happened? Did you get drunk? Did your cover blow?"
"Well, Fai is loud. He drunkenly went to our dad and woke him up to tell him how much he loves being there. That was interesting."
Yotha smiles as he thinks back to the memories. Gun on the other hand just stared at Yotha's smile.
'He looks so cute and nice when he's smiling. Then, why do people call him so many weird things?' Gun wondered.
"Gun?" Yotha called. "Where do I drop you two off?" He asked.
Gun blinked. "Oh! Right. Uh- we live in the dorms too."
"Okay."
Yotha didn't say anything about the low-key flirting that he did less than an hour ago. And Gun was glad.
"Do you need help?" Yotha asked once they reached.
Faifa had woken up but Kong was sleeping.
"Uh- I'll manage."
Yotha shook his head and helped Kong stand up, taking all the weight.
"Fai, go to the room. I'll be there soon."
Faifa was too drunk to question so he just nodded. And he was gone. Gun stared at Yotha who looked back at him.
"Shall we? Your friend's not as light as he looks."
Gun blinked. "Uh- yes yes. Let's go."
Yotha chuckled a little. It took them some time to reach Gun's dorm. Gun hurried to open the door. Yotha dropped the drunk one on a bed.
"Do you want some water?" Gun asked.
"Yes."
Gun went to the mini fridge and took a bottle. He gave it to Yotha.
"Thank you."
"No! Thank you for bringing him up." He said.
They walked to the door. Yotha paused. Gun looked at him in confusion.
"Uh- do you wanna get breakfast tomorrow?" Yotha asked.
"Breakfast? With Faifa and Kong?"
Yotha shook his head. Gun's eyes widened.
"With just you and me?"
Yotha gave a positive nod. Gun blinked. Yotha cleared his throat.
"No pressure. I was just asking." He muttered.
"I don't mind."
Yotha instantly looked at him. "Really?"
Gun nodded. Yotha smiled.
"So let's meet downstairs at 10?"
"Okay."
"I'll be going now. Bye."
"Bye. Good night Yotha."
"Good night, Gun." Yotha replied. He gave a little wave and left.
Gun closed the door and dropped on his bed. His hand on his beating chest.
"Why does he smile so much now? I thought he never smiled? Why is his smile so nice and pretty? God- save me!"
Yotha on the other hand was proud of himself.
"You're getting somewhere. Good."
He went back to his own dorm and saw Faifa sleeping messily on his bed. Yotha shook his head and went to shower.
