Kronii was panicking. It was supposed to be a routine time anomaly extermination and the only reason she was here at all was because Amelia was on her honeymoon with gura and ina.
As for why she was panicking she was currently staring down at one of her lovers and fellow council member Sana who had a gaping hole where her stomach should be which she had received pushing Kronii out of the way of an attack that would have pierced her chest.
Normally as gruesome as seeing one of her loved ones pierced through would be it wouldn't be enough to cause kronii to panic. As concepts she and the rest of council aren't flesh and blood like mortals are Mumei being the closest so any time they received an injury they could usually regenerate from it with enough time and failing that there physical forms would dissolve and they'd go into a recovery sleep as there body reformed from there domain.
Three key things where what was causing Kronii to panic. The first was that Sana wasn't regenerating which wasn't surprising because a wound as bad as that was enough to send all of them but Bae into the recovery sleep.
The second was that they weren't in their home timeline and while kronii knew she would be fine if she was "killed" in a foreign timeline she had no idea if this applied to the rest of council.
And third the anomaly that had injured Sana wasn't a normal anomaly Kronii could feel her own power coming from it heavily implying this was a corrupted Kronii which made things a lot worse because that meant Kronii couldn't grab Sana and flee because the anomaly would surely follow.
As Kronii spirals shes suddenly broken out of her panic by a weak grip on her arm as Sana weakly smiles at her saying weakly 'it'll be ok Kronini I know you can beat it'.
Kronii says 'hush Sana save your strength and of course I can beat it im perfect after all.' projecting confidence that she absolutely does not have in this moment.
Sana of course saw through it having been Kroniis partner for billions of years at this point made it pretty obvious when kronii was using her narcissism as a shield for her fear.
Kronii kept on about how she definitely had this and that Sana would be perfectly fine when she suddenly felt energy flowing into her from where Sana was touching which immediately broke through her cool facade as she freaks out saying 'Sana what are you doing?' as Sana continues just smiling.
Before Kronii can stop her Sana finishes the transfer and Kronii immediately feels her mind flooded with knowledge of space and the universe as a whole. She realizes almost instantly that this is the same innate knowledge of time that came with her position and that she now has the same knowledge for space.
Kronii freaks out even more for all of a second before she looks down to see a shocked Sana looking back up at her the wound she had fully healed. The two of them stare at each other for a moment before a crashing sound reminds them that the anomaly is still active and Kronii steels her self to use her newfound power to wipe out the anomalous Kronii despite the many questions she has.
The fight goes much better in the second round despite the anomaly being able to counter all of Kroniis time abilities the addition of her new space abilities despite how inexperienced she is with them is enough to give her the edge and before long shes able to wipe out the anomaly with a fair amount of effort.
Instead of gloating over her flawless victory like she might normally Kronii immediately dashes back over to the now standing Sana yelling 'what the hell where you thinking Sana that transfer should have killed you.' worry obvious through her angry words.
Sana responds putting her arms around Kronii in a hug 'im sorry Kronini I didn't think I was going to make it and I didn't want to leave you in that fight alone so I decided to give you my authority since I figured I probably wouldn't need it anymore'.
'Don't do anything like that ever again Sana and next time you or one of the others asks to go on a job with me im saying no.' Kronii demands before in a rare moment of relief fueled adrenaline Kronii kisses Sana relief obvious in the contact and Sana happily accepts the rare Kronii initiated affection.
Once the kiss ends and they press there forheads together Kronii says 'OK im going to transfer your authority back Sana then we can figure out why transferring it healed you.' But as she attempts to send it back she realizes shes transferring both Sanas and her own authority and quickly stops.
Kronii closes her eyes and looks inward at the core if her being and sees the problem. The authority of the Speaker of Space had intertwined with her authority as the Warden of time so closely that it was impossible to separate them meaning transferring one also meant transferring the other.
Still looking inward Kronii also notices a difference in her bonds. When the members of the council had all finally admitted that they loved each other a bit more than platonically they had quickly done the ancient equivalent of a marriage ritual to bind them to each other for eternity. The love bonds between herself and the others where of course still intact but the bond with Sana felt almost deeper not in feelings but in a very real sense.
Probing deeper Kronii realizes this deeper bond is what had saved Sanas life. When Sana had transferred her authority loosing all of her power should have killed her since her power was the only thing keeping her alive through her injury. But because of the love bond they shared the transfer had connected Sanas life force to Kroniis meaning that despite being powerless Sana would survive as long as Kronii existed.
Kronii opens her eyes and immediately relays all of this to Sana who simply smiles and says 'I guess your the warden of spacetime now Kronini'. Kronii sighs thinking she should have figured Sana would be so nonchalant about this and instead of trying to argue about it says 'Let's just report to Wattropolis that the anomaly is dead and the timeline is safe and then head home and explain this to the rest of the girls'.
Sana nods links arms with Kronii and Kronii transports them out if the timeline heading to Wattropolis wondering the whole way how the other members of Council would take the news.
