She clamped her jaw shut and forced a polite smile. Her hands were shaking worse than before. Could Cecilia see? Her eyes were stinging. Was she holding eye contact enough? Was it too much? Was she blinking a normal amount? Her chest was getting tighter every second. Was she even actually breathing? Did she at least look like she was? Would Cecilia notice if she didn’t?
