Summary
Out of sympathy for the plight of Ruby and her friends, the Blacksmith offered to give them all a do-over, to recraft reality back to their first year at Beacon, a chance to do it all over again as ordinary students without all the mass murder and existential threats to civilization. But the Blacksmith, handling it with all her usual care and attentiveness, relied on the five of them to remember exactly how Beacon had been. Certainly, they had very clear memories of that time and no one would alter reality to make it fit their particular desires. These are heroes, they don't do things like that!
