Post-canon Peak Lords Shen Yuan (Qingri) and Shen Qingqiu having a brotherly outing.
Outfit details that are important to me:
Their yaopei! Shen Yuan has the same yaopei as he did when he met Shen Qingqiu. The lotus root is a gift from his family to symbolize their hometown of Beihe Town, which made it complicated to wear for a while, but he does love all of them still. As said in the fic, the knots are decorative brocade knots that Shen Li tied to grant good fortune and family unity. The pearls over the tassel are new though: red for Qing-ge, green for er-ge, purple for Li-mei, and black for Yue-ge.
Meanwhile Shen Qingqiu has two yaopei. One with a forest green tassel and bronze decor - including an amulet identical to the decor on Shen Yuan's belt - and one with black and grey pearls, a black tassel, and a jade pendant with the double happiness characters - a marriage symbol.
Also take notice of the bamboo-style hairpin in Shen Yuan's guan. Wonder where that came from... Meanwhile, Shen Qingqiu having a lotus on his belt could mean something or it could mean nothing!
Also Shen Qingqiu always wears as many layers of clothing as physically possible, using it as armour against the world and also against anyone who might dare to try to touch him, whilst Shen Yuan wears only the absolutely necessary ones for modesty and decency. He values elegance and beauty, of course, but also is aware that his Peak is not one for fussiness. Plus, it'd be rude to make the servants wash the mud of five visible layers instead of two.
(Běihé 北河 means Northern River btw)

Tang Yichen and Shan Hui because I love them. I did have fun imagining the different belts the senior disciples and masters of Zhen Cha may wear to personalize their uniforms a bit - although masters don't have to wear the uniform at all if they don't want to.
Here's little character blurbs I wrote for them when I first started writing Yuanfen:
Tang Yichen. Surname: 汤, soup. Birth name: 奕辰, bright heavenly body
A mostly quiet young man who was regarded with distrust in his village as a child due to his silvery eyes. Opens up and becomes sardonically teasing among friends. Will make food if you're sick and stand in front of bullies but hates conflict. Specializes in tracking.
Shan Hui. Surname: 山, mountain. Birth name: 慧, intelligent/wise
A bright, sarcastic young woman who grew up in a loving middle class family. Even as a child, she knew she didn't want to marry anyone, which left her with few options as a filial daughter except to join a cultivation sect. Intelligent but brash, sometimes lacking empathy. Tries to be kind but forgets some people are more sensitive than she is. Specializes in wilderness espionage, especially with the help of her spiritual companion, the three-headed shadow crane Bao.

Peak Lord Feng Haiying of Zhen Cha Peak. Shen Yuan's beloved shifu. She's left-handed, so she wears the archery glove on the "wrong" side. She'll wear her peak lord's guan when she's doing business, but favours practicality over appearances in the field, much like most Zhen Cha-cultivators. Their reputation for often being muddy and wrinkled isn't unearned! By the time Shen Yuan becomes head disciple, she's started to get grey hairs - a testament of her great age, considering she's a very powerful cultivator!
Surname: 馮, horse/gallop. Courtesy name: 海, sea. 鹰, falcon.
