    Before OFA needed a vocalist, before Izuku Midoriya forgot how much he loved to sing, there were two separate stories happening on the same campus.

    Izuku starts college exactly where he always planned to be: studying engineering at his father’s university, surrounded by people he loves, and still singing whenever a song gets stuck in his head. Then he meets Rody Soul, a film student who points a camera at him and makes Izuku feel like every loud, awkward, excited part of himself is worth watching.

    Katsuki Bakugou would be perfectly happy if everyone left him the hell alone. Unfortunately, Cami has other plans. What starts as two friends making music becomes a warehouse, a band, and four people Katsuki absolutely refuses to admit he might actually like.

    Over two years, some people become family. Some promises stop meaning what they used to. And somewhere between being seen and being watched, Izuku learns how to make himself smaller.

    A prequel to *Background Noise*, following the two years that made Izuku, Katsuki, and OFA who they are when their stories finally collide.
