Work Text:
It was a starting day at the academy. The night sky slowly turned gold. The bright sun slowly rose as birds chirped while chaos slowly brewed quietly, waiting to be poured.
There were two men, the iron mage and the solar mage, both curious and eager to find something new. The one with goggles was curious, studying the nature of ritual magic. The one who owned copper prosthetic limbs was somewhat a safety net for the man, just to make sure he doesn't get hurt.
Legs was experimenting with rituals as Sausage observed. They have somehow found almost all of the rituals that were harmless. So the chances were that finding a really bad ritual was high.
It was then legs threw multiple random objects in the mix, which he would admit, was extremely risky, but he continued on anyway.
Sausage watched in the circle as the young man lit the quartz block. His arm whirled slightly.
Light flashed from the quartz block as multiple particles flew across the room. This was definitely new. Legs ran to the ritual table and immediately tried to find what it took. As he counted the amount of ingredients there were, he concluded that the ritual took; 2 gold ingots, 1 star, 11 bones, a few flowers, and one sword that had blood on its blade.
Sausage was amazed at the sight, he listened to the messages that were sent from the ritual. Legs listened to the multiple strikings of lightning as he attempted to write down the ritual, but before he could finish, a bright light flashed as smoke surrounded the circle.
…
There stood the same two men.
But they didn't stand as mages.
They stood as champions chosen by their gods.
