Luckily for Drew, Tamzin laughs it off. “Oh come on, don’t be silly” she sits up straight now and looks down into Drew’s eyes. “Holding hands is nothing to be worried about.”
Before Drew can protest, Tamzin reaches out for Drew’s hand and intertwines their fingers. “See, that wasn’t so hard was it.” Tamzin smiles and it takes Drew a whole 5 seconds to reply. Longer than it took for her face to burn up. She drops her head so that her hair covers her face.
“This is so embarrassing” she says under her breath. “If I can’t even hold hands with you without panicking, how will I ever do it with a boy.” Drew finally pulls their hands apart and looks up at Tamzin.
A smile pulls across Tamzin’s face. “It’s ok, we can keep practicing until you’re not scared anymore.”
