Work Text:
Nakamura stacks up his notebooks and puts them inside of his desk. He places his pencil and eraser back inside of his pencil case and tucks those away as well. Now that his desk is clean he is ready for lunch. Nakamura stands up and looks over at his boyfriend’s desk. It lies empty, an open notebook and pencil resting side by side. Hirose hasn’t come back from the bathroom yet. He complained to the teacher that it was an emergency before finally getting a pass, despite their lunch period starting in a few minutes.
Nakamura hopes it wasn’t too big of an emergency. He walks over to Hirose’s desk, gently sticking his pencil in his notebook before closing it. He decides to help his boyfriend out, so when he comes back the two of them can just leave and enjoy their lunch together.
“Hey, Nakamura, come here for a second.”
Nakamura flinches lightly and looks over towards the front of the class, where his teacher is still standing behind his desk even though class has ended.
“Y-yes, sensei.”
He walks over to the front of the class, feeling a bit nervous as he does so. He hopes that he isn’t in trouble or anything like that. His teacher lets out a tiny sigh as he rubs the back of his neck.
“Nakamura, could you do me a favor and deliver these textbooks to the science department? I was supposed to do it earlier before class started, but ran out of time, and now I’m late to a meeting.”
“Oh, um, sure, sensei.”
“Thank you, Nakamura. It’ll be the first year’s science room. The door should be unlocked already, so you won’t have any trouble getting in. Just place them inside of the bookcase for me. Sorry to cut into your lunch, I’ll owe you one though. Thank you so much for your help.”
His teacher thanks him again before leaving and Nakamura watches him go. He blinks as he looks at the pile of textbooks on the desk and then looks behind him at the dozen of his classmates still inside of their class.
Why on Earth did he pick me out of everyone? It’s not like no one else was still here in the classroom. There are way too many textbooks for me to carry by myself as well. It is going to take me at least two trips, meaning less lunch time with Hirose. What exactly did he mean by he owes me one too? What exactly is he going to owe me for doing this favor for him? It better be some extra credit. Nakamura broods.
His eyebrows narrow and a frown appears on his lips as he glares down at the textbooks. This is how Hirose finds him a few seconds later. He opens up the door wide and is surprised to see his boyfriend standing in front of the class.
“Hey Nakamura, ready for lunch?” Hirose asks as he walks up to him.
Nakamura turns his head, his expression immediately lighting up as soon as he sees his angelic boyfriend.
“Hirose…I’m sorry, but sensei asked me to do him a favor. I’m going to be a little late today, but you don’t have to wait for me if you don’t want to.”
“What? What’s the favor he asked you to do?”
“He wants me to take these textbooks to the science department.”
“All of them? By yourself?”
“That’s what I said.”
Nakamura sighs and reaches out for them. He cuts the pile in half and picks it up before giving his boyfriend an apologetic look.
“I’m sorry, I’ll try to be back as fast as I can.”
Hirose frowns before walking past him, “don’t apologize, Nakamura. It’s not your fault, it’s sensei’s for dumping his work onto you.”
“Ah, Hirose, what are you doing?”
Hirose reaches out for the rest of the textbooks and picks them up. He smiles as he turns over towards Nakamura.
“I’m helping you out, obviously.”
“Hirose, you don’t have to do that–”
“I know, but I want to. I’m not going to watch my boyfriend do all this heavy lifting alone. Besides, if we do it together then we’ll finish faster.”
“I–” Nakamura starts, but he sees the look Hirose gives him and instead says, “thank you.”
“Hehe, what are boyfriends for?”
Nakamura blushes lightly, a smile appearing on his lips as he follows after Hirose. He walks right beside his boyfriend down the halls, listening to him complain about their teacher.
“Sensei is unbelievable. There is no way you could have taken all of these down there yourself. He must have known that, but he didn’t ask any other student to help you out? Why did he even ask you in the first place?”
“I’m not too sure. I was wondering about that myself.”
“He singled you out, which is completely unfair. I notice that he does that a lot to you in class as well, always asking you to answer his questions. I never liked him. He is way too tough on everyone. I know we’re seniors and this is our last year, but we’re also still kids and this is our last year. There should be an equal balance between work and play, but he just doesn’t understand that.”
Nakamura hums and nods his head as he listens to his boyfriend’s complaints. The walk doesn’t seem that far or bad since Hirose fills in the silence with his complaining. Nakamura loves hearing his boyfriend talk, but he also loves hearing him stand up for him as well. He could happily listen to him go on and on if it wasn’t for the fact that they arrive at their destination. The two of them stand in front of the closed door and then look at each other with their arms full of books.
“You can place your books on top of mine, Hirose, to open the door.” Nakamura tells him.
“No, no, you should let me carry them, Nakamura.”
“It’s fine.”
“I insist!”
“It’ll only be for a second.”
“You’ve been carrying more, just give them to me, Nakamura.”
The two of them go back and forth before laughter escapes their lips. Nakamura sighs out and bends down. He places the textbooks on the floor, happy that the hall is deserted right now so no one can see, before opening up the door for them.
“That’s cheating, you know. I was trying to be a gentleman.”
Nakamura chuckles as he picks his books back up, “we were both trying to be gentlemen.”
Hirose pouts as he follows his boyfriend in, “well we can’t both be gentlemen or else what just happened will happen all over again. We have to take turns.”
“Alright, next time I’ll allow you to open the door for me.”
“Good! Thank you for getting the door this time, Nakamura.” Hirose says all cheerfully.
Nakamura smiles to himself as he places the books down in the back of the room. He only sees one bookcase in the classroom, so this must be the one his teacher was talking about. Hirose huffs as he drops his books right next to Nakamura’s pile.
“Alright, all finished! Let’s head back now and start lunch.”
“Actually Hirose, sensei wanted me to put them away.”
“Are you being serious right now?!”
Nakamura flinches a little, “...I told you that you didn’t have to wait for me.”
“No, no, Nakamura, that wasn’t directed at you, but to our sensei! For making you do so much work! What does it matter if the books are here or put away? If he wanted them away he should have put them away himself!”
“I’m not denying what you’re saying isn’t true, Hirose, but it should only take me a second.”
“Next time I see him I’m going to complain to him, big time. I’m going to tell all the other teachers too how he pushes his work off on his students. I’ll make sure everyone in the teacher’s lounge knows how lazy sensei is.”
Nakamura picks up a couple of books and starts putting them on the shelf one by one during Hirose’s rant. At one point his boyfriend realizes what he’s doing and starts to help him out. He jumps up on the desk and sits down on it, picking up the books and handing them off to Nakamura one by one. They finish their task pretty quickly with their teamwork and are finally done with it. Nakamura dusts his hands off and looks over at his boyfriend.
“Thank you, Hirose. This would have taken a lot longer without you.”
“Of course, Nakamura. What type of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t help you?”
Nakamura chuckles, “I don’t think it would have made you a terrible one. As thanks I’ll give you one of my side dishes. My mom made fried chicken last night and I know how much you enjoyed them last time.”
Hirose perks up at the sound of that. He sees his boyfriend innocently smiling over at him…and then thinks of another idea instead. Hirose smirks as he leans over towards his boyfriend.
“I think I would rather have a kiss.”
“Ah, wh-what?” Nakamura flinches, his cheeks turning red.
Hirose leans forward a bit and taps his lips, “kiss me, Nakamura. I’m waiting.”
“I-um, I don’t know-or think we should–”
“Come on, there is no one else here. This hallway was completely empty when we were walking down it, remember? It’ll be fine. Can I please have a kiss for all my hard work, Nakamura? Please?”
Hirose starts to pout and flutters his eyelashes a bit, even going as far as releasing his pheromones since he knows how much his boyfriend loves his scent. Nakamura gulps thickly. He glances around the classroom and sees it completely empty. He doesn’t remember passing by anyone earlier either…so it should be okay. The two of them have never kissed at school before, not to say they were forbidden from doing so. Nakamura walks over and stands in front of Hirose. His boyfriend grins as he closes his eyes and Nakamura leans forward to press their lips together.
It is a quick, soft peck.
He immediately pulls back right afterwards and Hirose continues to sit there with his eyes closed.
“Hirose.”
“Hmm?”
“I-I kissed you.”
“Really? I didn’t feel anything.”
“Hirose!”
Hirose lets out a loud sigh and opens his eyes up. He sees Nakamura blushing slightly in front of him and reaches out to grab him. He grabs both of Nakamura’s elbows and gently pulls him forward, his boyfriend stumbling from the sudden movement. He would have tumbled onto his boyfriend if he hadn’t placed his hands out quickly to catch himself on the desk. The only problem with that is that he was a lot closer to Hirose now, their faces right in front of each other.
Nakamura goes still as he sucks in his breath. An apology is right on his lips, but Hirose has other plans. He slides his hands up Nakamura’s arms and wraps them around his shoulder. One of his hands gets tangled in his hair as he pushes his head down to meet his lips. This time, with him holding onto him like this, Nakamura won’t be able to run away. Hirose kisses him fully on the lips again. It’s like kissing a wall since his boyfriend isn’t reacting at all, so he decides to tease him a bit by nipping at his bottom lip. Nakamura finally gasps and turns his head away.
“H-Hir-Hirose!”
“Hmm, yes, Nakamura?”
Hirose keeps a charming smile as he begins to twirl a piece of his boyfriend’s black hair around his finger. It makes chills run down Nakamura’s spine and his heart skips a beat.
“We-we ki-kissed!”
Hirose chuckles, “that we did.”
“S-so you should let me go, s-so that we can go back to-to class and enjoy our l-lunch.”
“Hmm, I’m really enjoying having you in my arms like this right now though. Can I have another kiss from you, Nakamura?”
Nakamura’s face scrunches up so cutely as he replies, “y-you only said one kiss.”
Hirose can’t resist him when he looks so adorable. He says a quick, “well I want one more kiss,” and before Nakamura has the time to reply back presses their lips together again. His boyfriend whines into their kiss this time, which only makes Hirose chuckle. He sticks out his tongue and gently runs it against Nakamura’s lips, begging for entrance. His boyfriend is stiff at first, but soon he parts his lips open. Eventually he starts to lean into Hirose’s kisses, leans into his touches, and falls under his charm. The two of them part away for a second to catch their breaths and Hirose stares down at Nakamura’s flustered face.
“I like being taller than you. It makes it easier to kiss you,” Hirose teases.
“I think you’re perfect as you are, Hirose,” Nakamura mumbles out unconsciously.
It makes him blink before a wide grin appears on his lips, “I think you’re pretty perfect too, Nakamura. Perfect for me. I used to have a complex about being shorter than other people, especially once I presented as an alpha, but I really love how you tower over me. I love how your arms can wrap around me so tightly whenever I am in your embrace. I love how soft your beautiful black hair is, and how long your bangs are, hehehe. They hide your dark onyx eyes and I want to be the only one who stares into them. I love how pale and milky your skin is since it allows me to see whenever I make you embarrassed or make your heart race as it flusters and blushes. I especially love your lips, how soft and kissable they are. I’m pretty addicted to kissing them in fact.”
With each compliment Hirose gives his boyfriend, he whispers them softly, sweetly, gently brushing his lips against his face, and strumming his fingers through his hair. Nakamura feels all sorts of ways, his insides turning inside out. He never knows how Hirose makes him feel more embarrassed, more undone, more completely out of whack or sync or whatever the hell one would call it with his own body, but he always finds a way to do it. He always finds a way to make him feel more loved than ever before. Nakamura leans in, giving way to his boyfriend. He initiates the kiss this time, nibbling on Hirose’s bottom lip as he asks for entrance.
And allows him Hirose does, along with so much more. He hugs Nakamura even closer to him, wrapping his legs around his waist so he truly can’t escape. It seems like all their practice kissing worked out in the end though since Nakamura has no plans on moving away from his boyfriend right now. It’s just the opposite in fact. Nakamura’s hands clench into fists on the table before he lifts them up. He places them on Hirose’s hips, gripping them tightly as he kisses him hungerily. His boyfriend’s kisses are sweet and addictive and his scent is truly divine. Nakamura finds himself getting completely lost in his boyfriend, the world around them fading away in the background.
When Hirose pulls away again to catch his breath, his boyfriend actually whimpers. Nakamura’s eyes seem all hazy as he pants out heavily, his sickenly sweet scent enticing Hirose to look at him and only at him. Hirose forgets how to breathe. He stares at Nakumura’s vulnerable face, an expression of pure love and desire covering it.
How is my boyfriend this beautiful? He thinks to himself.
Hirose moves his hand up to cuff Nakamura’s face, gently brushing his finger against his cheek. Nakamura whimpers out again and leans into his touch as he stares into his eyes.
“Hirose,” he begs.
Begs! All common sense completely flies out of the window as Hirose loses his restraint. He pulls Nakamura’s face back towards him and kisses him desperately, smashing their lips together. All of a sudden it’s not enough. Nothing is enough anymore. Hirose wants more. More of his boyfriend, more of his whimpers, more of his cute pants and sweet eyes, more of everything that he has, and even still that wouldn’t be enough.
Hirose begins to wonder if anything will ever be enough again when it comes to his boyfriend.
That thought doesn’t stay on his mind for long though since the door to the classroom suddenly rattles open with a loud slam. Nakamura flinches and pulls away, whatever spell he was under getting undone. Hirose sees his seductive face turn around to look at whoever was walking into the classroom and a wave of jealousy courses through him. He doesn’t want anyone to see Nakamura this way, all flustered and worked up because of him. A growl escapes from Hirose’s lips as he quickly slams Nakamura’s head against his chest and holds him there.
The two students that walk in, both of them first years, freeze when an intimidating scent hits their nose. Fear seizes them as they look up and sees Hirose glaring over both of them.
“LEAVE!” He shouts at the top of his lungs.
The two first years cry out as they run out of the classroom, the door sliding shut behind them. Hirose continues to growl out lightly, glaring at the door, trying to check and see if anyone else was going to come. He grows very territorial, his scent turning bitter and fierce. Nakamura huffs as he tries to break free from his boyfriend’s chest. He is being pushed so firmly against it he is finding it hard to breathe at the moment. When Nakamura finally pulls away he takes a deep breath of air.
“H-Hirose, what did you do?”
“I didn’t want them seeing you.” Hirose huffs.
Nakamura stares at him in disbelief for a second. There is nothing he can say to that since he gets it. He completely understands. Whenever his boyfriend looks cute or super duper adorable, he wishes he could hide that view from the world. There are moments Nakamura wishes to keep secret, so he understands why Hirose would want to hide him.
It’s embarrassing to think about how I looked as we kissed. I must have had a very vulnerable expression on my face if Hirose didn’t want anyone to see it. I didn’t even get the chance to see who came in before he pulled me close to his chest, not like that matters. Whoever it was, they caught us doing something we definitely were not supposed to be doing in an empty classroom. It would be best to leave before they come back. Nakamura thinks.
He pulls away from his boyfriend, or at least tries to, but Hirose keeps a tight grip around him.
“Why are you pulling away from me?” He asks, actually sounding hurt when he does.
Nakamura’s expression softens and he leans forward, pressing their foreheads together.
“I’m sorry, Hirose, but the two of us really need to leave right now just in case they come back, or if they tell someone and bring a teacher back with them.”
Hirose narrows his eyes, not wanting to leave. His alpha didn’t like this one bit. This was his spot with his mate, he should defend it, but deep down Hirose knows that what Nakamura is saying makes sense. If the two of them get caught by a teacher they would definitely get in trouble and he doesn’t want that happening. Hirose tries to ignore his alpha side as he stands back up on his feet and allows his boyfriend to lead him away.
“Come on, we can go to our usual spot and enjoy lunch together, just the two of us.”
Hirose’s frown turns into a smile, liking the sound of that idea. He follows after his boyfriend happily now…still peeking behind his shoulder and glaring to make sure no one else tries to sneak up on them.
No one is ever going to see his cute boyfriend up close and vulnerable.
