“Did you consider it?” Jack asked when her alarm rang that day.
“Yes,” she mumbled. Then, a little louder, “Do you actually want to do it? I’m afraid I’ll be a nightmare. The Menopur hurts like shit.”
“I actually want to do it,” he nodded, a sure look on his face. “Anything—I mean, yeah, I’ll do it. I want to help.”
Samira patted her knees a few times. Her palms were sweating.
“Fine.”
