WxS Kaito was a little nervous going to the Electric Weekend Zone, he wasn’t usually the type to go to these places after all. He took a deep breath as he pushed through the bodies of people, reminding himself that just because it was a club, it didn’t mean that he had to have any alcohol, it was just a fun place to relax and vent out his struggles.
He eventually made it out of the crowd to a less busy area with tables. He scanned the room for a moment before his eyes landed on the table that was calling and waving him over. It seemed all the others were already there.
He hurried over and smiled at everyone before sitting down, “I’m so sorry, it seems I’m late.”
VBS Kaito just laughed and waved his hand dismissively, “Don’t even worry about it! A bunch of us just got here too.” MMJ and L/N Kaito nodded in agreement. N25 Kaito just stared forwards, a grumpy expression on his face as usual.
The five Kaitos made themselves comfortable, satisfied because their plan to meet up actually happened. They had decided to meet up at the Electric Weekend Zone because it was one of the sekais that was open to all vocal synths, and it was highly rated too.
WxS furrowed his brow and turned to L/N Kaito. “So, I know you said it was fine when we planned this meet up, but are you certain you’re allowed to be here? You are a minor after all.”
L/N Kaito nodded, “Yeah, I double checked. They said it was fine as long as I didn’t have any alcohol or do anything inappropriate.”
WxS Kaito breathed a sigh of relief, smiling again. “That’s good, nothing to worry about now.”
VBS Kaito grinned, “And I can just have extra drinks to make up for the fact that he won’t be having any!”
They all just stared at him.
“What does that literally have to do with anything?” N25 Kaito asked, staring at him deadpan.
VBS Kaito started to argue, complaining about how N25 Kaito was always ruining their fun, before MMJ Kaito shushed them both.
“So! How has your guys’ week been?” MMJ Kaito asked, returning them back to their original reason for meeting up in the first place
VBS Kaito groaned and leaned back in his seat. “Don’t even get me started! My humans are so bad at regulating their emotions! I swear they’re all finally getting better, and then something new hits. Oh yeah, Len also stole my ice cream to get back at me for the time I accidentally ate his! I was really looking forward to eating it too…”
All the Kaitos murmured their condolences, loving ice cream was something they all had in common after all.
After VBS Kaito finished talking MMJ Kaito cleared his throat, “If nobody else minds I guess I can go next. This week wasn’t so bad actually, but Meiko and Luka decided to have a last minute concert so I had to figure out all the technicalities for it. Being a manager can be tiring sometimes… At least my girls have been doing pretty good recently. Their main struggles are caused by insecurities in some way or form, but sadly there’s much I can do to help them with that…”
Some of the Kaitos nodded or shared their opinions, then it was WxS Kaito’s turn.
“Oh! I guess it’s my turn to share. Well… a bunch of the plushies were trying to plan a large show together, but there was a big disagreement…like usual…and Miku also got upset with them because she was trying to help them out, so I had to sort all of that out. Meiko tried to help but she was getting too invested and she really didn’t end up helping much at all. And that's not even including what was going on with my humans…”
L/N shook his head as WxS Kaito finished, speaking quietly, “I always forget how packed your sekai is, it’s crazy to think that it was formed from the feelings of only one kid...”
WxS Kaito nods in agreement, “It’s surprising huh? I do believe the feelings of the others have started to influence it as well though.”
MMJ Kaito nodded, “That makes sense.”
VBS Kaito motioned towards L/N Kaito, “Now it’s your turn little buddy, how’s your week been?”
L/N Kaito fiddled with his shirt, looking down while talking. “Well uh, it’s been fine I guess… My humans are doing pretty good, they have struggles but they’re very close and are always there for each other. Though, Meiko and Rin keep teasing me everytime I go to practise by myself instead of doing group practice, it’s kinda embarrassing…”
The Kaitos chuckled (Except for N25 Kaito who hasn’t cracked a single grin this whole time and probably never will) before looking expectantly at N25 Kaito.
He rolled his eyes, “Fine, I’ll talk, whatever… My week sucked as usual. The others don’t know the right way to help the girls and they get upset at me for just trying to get things done. The girls don’t know how to help themselves either, but at least they’re doing a bit better than before…”
His voice softened slightly at the last bit, and VBS Kaito grinned.
“Awww, you really care about your girls huh? Underneath that tough exterior you really are just a softie Niigo!”
N25 Kaito stared at him blankly. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
The Kaitos just laughed, the flashing lights from the dancefloor painting them different colours. A quiet fell over them, they had finished talking about their weeks and now weren’t sure what to talk about.
Suddenly, another familiar blue-headed man appeared at their table. It was Electric Weekend Zone Kaito! (From the hit song ‘Electric Weekend Zone’ by Flavor Foley & CircusP)!
EWZ Kaito grabbed the edge of their table and leaned over towards them. “No way! The sekai Kaitos? Got space for one more?” He giggled, seemingly already a bit tipsy.
“Of course man! Get over here!” VBS kaito exclaimed, moving over to make room for EWZ Kaito to sit next to him.
MMJ Kaito smiled and turned to him as he sat down, “Kaito-san! It’s so nice to see you again! It’s been a while.”
EWZ Kaito nodded in agreement, “It has, hasn’t it? Sooooo, what were you guys yapping about before I came over?”
“We were just venting about our weeks pretty much,” WxS Kaito explained.
EWZ Kaito groaned, “You guys think you have it bad?? I have to work a 9-to-5! Every single day the same boring thing…slaving away in an office building because where else am I gonna work? My only relief is getting to come here every weekend, otherwise I don’t think I would be able to handle it. You guys are so lucky, your sekais are so interesting and every day there’s something new!”
VBS Kaito patted him on the shoulder, “Yeah, I guess we can’t really complain. I’m sorry for what you have to go through dude.”
“Yeah, I hope you can get a better job soon,” MMJ Kaito agreed.
EWZ laughed and sat up straight, “Well, I’m here to forget about all that stuff for the night right? So…” he looked about at the table, which was empty, “Where are your drinks?! You can’t just go to the club and not order anything!”
He quickly called over a waiter for the table. He got like three different types of alcohol, VBS Kaito got a couple cocktails, MMJ Kaito got a glass of sake, L/N Kaito got a shirley temple, N25 Kaito got a strong whiskey, and WxS Kaito got a light beer after some convincing (he wasn’t a huge fan of drinking). Soon enough their drinks arrived and they fell into some chill small talk.
Once they finished their drinks (some of them on their second or third), the Kaitos were starting to feel a little tipsy, except for: EWZ Kaito (He’s WAY more than just a little tipsy), L/N Kaito (He had no alcohol), and N25 Kaito (He has a strong alcohol tolerance).
EWZ Kaito glanced over at the dancefloor and his eyes lit up, “Hey guys! We should totallyyyyy dance! It would be so fun hehehe!”
“We totally should!” VBS Kaito cheered.
WxS Kaito and MMJ Kaito looked at each other and shrugged.
“Sure!” replied WxS Kaito.
“Why not,” said MMJ Kaito.
That only left L/N Kaito and N25 Kaito, who were trying to avoid eye contact with the others.
EWZ Kaito scooted closer to them. “Come on guys, you have to join in on the fun too! You guys can dance can’t you?”
L/N Kaito fidgeted with his glasses in his hands, shaking his head. “Uh, no… I play in a band, I don’t dance…”
“And I’m just not going over there. You guys can have your fun.” N25 Kaito said, clearly wanting them to leave him alone.
The others made a couple attempts to convince them before deciding to leave it alone. L/N Kaito was a minor after all, it was probably better if he wasn’t on the dancefloor surrounded by strangers. The rest of the Kaitos made their way to the dancefloor, laughing and already having fun.
L/N Kaito put his glasses back on and shifted awkwardly in his seat, he wasn’t the type to start small talk and N25 Kaito wasn’t the type to either so they just kinda sat in silence. Eventually L/N Kaito ordered another shirley temple and settled to watch the other Kaitos dance. He giggled to himself quietly every time they made a fool of themselves, finally feeling more relaxed. It was also nice to not feel pressured to talk.
After N25 finished his 3rd whiskey glass he told L/N Kaito “I’m glad I was stuck with you out of everyone, you aren’t obnoxious like the others.”
“Oh, thanks,” L/N Kaito replied, surprised to hear N25 Kaito talk to him.
A little while after, the other Kaitos returned to the table, they had been dancing for nearly an hour and it was starting to get late. They all sat down, clearly slightly more tipsy than when they left, and MMJ Kaito turned to L/N Kaito and N25 Kaito.
“Were you guys alright while we were gone?” he asked, to which the 2 of them nodded.
“Well I guess we should probably start returning to our separate sekais then,” WxS Kaito commented, “We don’t wanna be out too late after all.” The Kaitos agreed.
VBS Kaito turned to EWZ Kaito, “Are you also gonna be heading home man?”
He laughed and shook his head, “No way! I’m only getting started!”
VBS Kaito chuckled and patted him on the shoulder, “Alright dude, don’t go too crazy! We’ll see you next time!”
The Kaitos all said their goodbyes to EWZ Kaito and started leaving together. As they reached the exit of the Electric Weekend Zone, they said their goodbyes to each other as well, agreeing to meet up again sometime soon. Then they all went their separate ways and the virtual singers in the 5 sekais had to deal with whatever state their Kaito was in :).
