On top of the family's dining table, there is another smaller table and a stool. On top of the smaller table, there is a wooden chopping board and a toy version of Thor's hammer. Yongbok struggles herself in trying to climb on the dining table, and finally sits on the stool. She is wearing her dracula cape from the halloween a few years ago as a robe. She holds the hammer and hits the board twice, bringing the attention to her parents that are sitting at the other side of the dining table.
"Okay, order. The court is in session, everyone. Silence or you'll be dismissed" Yongbok says with confidence. Nobody is even talking in the first place. She continues anyway.
"Case one two three four five six seven eight nine ten, people against Mama on first degree pudding stealer. How does the defendant find?" She looks at her mother. Minho has a scrunchie over her wrist that works like a handcuff.
"Not guilty, your honor. The defendant is 7 months pregnant with severe pudding craving" Minho defends herself, most likely because there are no other people in the house that can roleplay as her lawyer.
"Desire doesn't give people the permission to do crime, your honor. A kid who really wants Chucky's wife doll doesn't make them a doll stealer" Seungmin argues, sending a joking glare towards his wife which gets reciprocated almost instantly. Yongbok gasps softly at the argument.
"I do want his wife's doll..." She mumbles, pouting. Seungmin looks at her when he hears that.
"Yet you won't steal it. That's literally normal people's thought process" he concludes but gets interrupted right away.
"Objection, using the judge's personal life as an example" Minho argues. Seungmin looks at her with the face that conveys 'that's a ridiculous reasoning' and Minho just shrugs. Yongbok nods when she hears the objection.
"Overruled" she says, and suddenly she giggles to herself so cheerfully. "I've been dreaming to say that. I don't even know what it means!"
The married couple break their characters, chuckle at their daughter's cheerful celebration for just being able to say one simple word. The little girl cackles some more, repeating the word as if it is the best word she has ever learnt. About a minute or two later, she hit Thor's hammer toy to the chopping block again to get back to the 'court session'.
"Your honor, the defendant's husband is stingy. The defendant won't steal it if he doesn't keep the pudding to himself" Minho takes that chance to blame Seungmin right away, pointing finger at him while she complains. Seungmin makes an 'O' with his mouth, speechless at the sudden accusation and his wife bursts out laughter right away.
"The defendant's husband will give it to her if she asks nicely, your honor" Seungmin argues but Minho is having too much fun teasing him.
"Objection, baseless assumption" Minho interferes while raising her hand like she wants to answer a question in a classroom. Yongbok's eyes sparkle when she hears the magic word, and she wastes no time to react with excitement, another word she has been dreaming to say.
"Sustained!"
Seungmin gasps, jokingly stuns at his place as he looks at his daughter with a betrayal expression, causing the little girl to laugh even harder and Minho uses the opportunity to win the argument. She begins to speak slightly louder out of excitement while pointing fingers at her husband.
"Your honor, the defendant's husband has the history of telling her that she had taken too many sweets, which might be his argument if she asks nicely" she says that makes Seungmin's eyes widen like triangles.
"Objection, hearsay" he points his finger back at her. Yongbok gladly hears the objection and she hits the wooden board for no reason as she responds.
"Overruled!"
"What kind of a judge is this?" Seungmin frowns at his little girl and she just giggles. She loves teasing her father and Minho seems to enjoy the chaos too, so she adds the drama.
"Do you have a problem? Your honor, kick him off the court!" Minho requests but laughs in between her words because she finds it way too funny now. Seungmin can't help but smile when he hears the laugh, but he still stays in character and crosses his arms, facing his wife.
"Excuse me, you're the one in the trial right now" he says and Minho copies his pose right away, glad to join the bicker.
"I didn't question your honor's decision"
"Because she is biased towards you"
"It's not my fault the judge finds out that I'm right"
"You're not right. You're just charming"
"Oh, that's a very weak argument, Kim Seungmin"
Each sentence they respond to each other, they lean slightly closer and closer. Yongbok sees how they try to give threatening glares to each other by squinting their eyes. They are adorable because in the little girl's POV, she can still see the glitter in their eyes as they bicker. But Yongbok still ends up interfering because she still has 'court session' to focus on.
"Order! Order! Mama papa don't fight!" She knocks the chopping board with her hammer toy a few times to gain her parents' attention. It works, the couple look at her instantly but while Seungmin looks like he is caught off guard, Minho already gives the little girl her sweetest smile.
"We are not fighting~" she reassures brightly, then proceeds to kiss Seungmin on the cheek like she tries to convince Yongbok and takes the situation for granted to thank her husband for calling her charming just now. Seungmin gasps, freezes on his spot and his eyes sparkle so bright as if he just won the biggest award on earth. The girls in his life giggle so cheerfully at his reaction, while he just chuckles softly, blush at the thought of him being kissed by his own wife.
"Your honor, the defendant is seducing me, please announce the verdict before i lose my composure" Seungmin requests with the biggest grin on his face, just to make Minho laugh harder. In the meantime, Yongbok is already so focused on fidgeting the little strap at the bottom of Mjolnir's handle.
"Hmmm, okay" she answers half-heartedly, twisting the strap around her finger to make it look like a ring, then untangling it again. Only when her parents are quiet does she look up, realising she has been drifting away from the situation. "Now what?"
"People request the defendant to receive a lifetime jail punishment in the prison of Kim Seungmin's heart" Seungmin requests with confidence. Minho sends him a disgusted look and she even pretends like she is about to puke, making her husband send her a side eye while she argues to the little judge.
"That's absolutely corny, your honor-"
"Or death by lethal injection, your call, your honor" Seungmin interrupts calmly, hands behind his back. His wife gasps, feeling betrayed. Yongbok has no idea what is going on, but it sounds like one of the episodes of the investigation series they watched together before, so she lets them play it out.
"Yah, you-" Minho acts like she wants to hit Seungmin but he avoids it right away. She uses that chance to rant at her daughter. "Your honor, the defendant is not even on a flight risk"
"But she can fly her fist towards me" Seungmin responds from behind the chair, just in case Minho wants to get violent for real. Minho sends him a glare but Yongbok nods at his statement.
"Or her legs" the little girl adds.
"Or her legs. Or knife. She can definitely fly a knife towards me" Seungmin continues quickly and runs around the dining table in panic when Minho is about to grab Yongbok's hammer. But she stops halfway, glares at her grinning husband while he walks back next to her.
"That's right. The defendant can throw a knife and that's dangerous. The court finds the defendant guilty. The defendant will get a death penalty by kitten invasion" Yongbok decides and hits the cutting board twice with full force, making a loud knocking sound to end the session without even noticing how she pronounced 'lethal injection' wrongly.
"That's not fai- wait, by what?" Minho stops her crashout almost instantly when she processes the verdict, meanwhile Seungmin is already laughing out loud and approaching her.
"Don't argue with the judge, you criminal. Now, come with me. I know exactly how to execute your punishment"

Bonus :
"If this is my punishment, I will steal everything from you, Kim Seungmin" Minho says while her eyes sparkle over the view of kitten 'invasioning' her personal space, climbing on her lap and gathering around her. Seungmin brings his girls to a cat cafe, where they provide a petting zone, so now Minho and Yongbok are having the time of their life.
Seungmin plays with the bigger cat, and he chuckles softly when he hears the statement.
"Including my heart?" He asks lightly. Minho sends him a disgusted glare again but he ignores it.
"What's up with you and your corny flirt these days? You sound like teenagers in love" she complains, while looking back at the felines around her as she pets a little calico's tummy. Seungmin just smiles to himself, the spark in his eyes slightly dim.
"Coping mechanism" he answers shortly. Minho can hear the negative intonation in his voice, instantly makes her lose her disgusted expression because now she is worried. But by the time she looks at him, he already gets up to leave the petting zone. She is about to call for him, but then
"Mama, Papa..." Yongbok calls, almost like a panic whisper. The couple change their gazes, and they look at their daughter, who has two sleeping kittens on her crossed legs. She looks uncomfortable and panics at the same time when she says
"I can't feel my legs anymore but I can't move away"
Seungmin stuns for a moment and chuckles before approaching his daughter to help her put the sleeping kittens away. Minho just watches, she wonders what is going on in Seungmin's head. What is he coping with?
She can't help but getting worried.
