Summary
After two years of avoiding family gatherings under her grandfather’s protection, Kira is forced to return home to organize her brother Josh’s eighteenth birthday party. Easton Prep is still the same elitist circus as ever, with one exception: the rowing team is now led by Yumeko Jabami, a brilliant blonde coxswain who has zero patience for the rowers’ egos.
For Kira, returning home means dealing with the annoyance of seeing Britney Garner—her long-ago, never-confessed platonic love—in Josh’s arms. However, while her brother and Cam clumsily compete for the new coxswain’s attention, Kira finds herself staring a little too much at the only girl who seems immune to the charms of the school’s heartthrobs.
