Chapter Text
Shigeo always had some sort of routine whenever he leaves the house.
However, he knows deep down he should probably change it- but something prevents him from doing so.
And he doesn't want to admit what's doing that.
The bench was still the same. So were the trees, the rustle from the wind, and the cracks within the pavement.
Everytime he looked at the cracked pavement, he hears a familiar voice passing through his ear.
"Heh. It'd be funny if someone tripped over it."
Shigeo snorts softly, he could hear him saying that.
But then his face changed back into it's blank state with a hint of sadness.
"you'd probably think I'm being weird right now."
And then, there was a pause.
As if he was expecting to hear a verbal answer.
But the only response he got was from the leaves that danced with the breeze's melody.
But a part of him still waited- even if it were to be an eternity.
Only for when he looked up, he'd see that flashy grin that the ginger would flash- giving his warm chuckle that made his heart sang.
Probably laughing at Shigeo for talking to himself.
...
But that's never going to happen.
At least... Not anymore.
Shou Suzuki isn't coming back.
He wasn't going to appear out of thin air with his charming laughter. He wasn't going to tease Shigeo about how silent he is or ramble about how Shigeo reminds him of his hamsters.
He was the only one that filled the air with his melodic voice.
Shigeo looked at the empty space beside him, as he began to despise how he couldn't move on despite it being months.
Within months he should be changed his routine, to go try different places he's never been or spend more time with friends and family.
But everyday, his feet always linger back to the same route.
With a quiet sigh, Shigeo stands up.
"I can't keep doing this." Shigeo muttered, as he told himself that tomorrow should be different.
That tomorrow he won't let his feet guide him back to the place that once brought him comfort.
But who knows when that tomorrow will happen.
As Shigeo began to leave the park- he glanced back at the bench on last time.
Tomorrow, he won't come back.
