Summary
A group of men, some wearing orange, others wearing blue scrubs were to the left, on the other side of the fence. Some are moving containers and materials from trucks, some loading what looks to be bricks of tied licence plates onto another. One of them was looking directly at Shane.
His mop of blonde curls fall into his eyes, over a tattoo that peaks out from his temple. His muscles bulge out the tight orange uniform he’s wearing, skin tanned and covered in black ink. He can’t see any of the characters from this distance, but from the shape of them, he can tell they’re not from the latin alphabet.
But what he can see from this distance is the dark look in his eyes, as he rubs his gloved hands together and watches Shane walk into the prison. He looks like a lion who’s analysing a cut of fresh meat, deciding the best way he can sink his teeth in and tear it to pieces.
Shane watches him back until he’s walked past him, and not wanting to trip over his own feet, has to tear his eyes away so he can watch where he’s walking. Even so, he can still feel that man’s eyes on the back of his head.
