Work Text:
“Hey Sae would you and Bunny like to come on a double date with me and Kaiser” Sae turned around to face the German midfielder that stared at him with puppy dog eyes and a pleading expression. Bastard München were on a one month Training trip in Madrid, which made the opportunity to hang out with Ness a lot easier, although Sae hadn’t anticipated that the German would invite him on a double date? “As in the four of us together?” Sae questioned frowning his brow a little bit as he took a sip from his water bottle.
He and Ness had just finished their one on one training session, both of them sweating profusely. “Please! Kaiser has been in his moods lately so I can’t do it alone” Ness practically begged as they headed to the locker room.
Sae ultimately sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in defeat, too drained to do anything. Ness continued to look at him with big anticipating eyes. “Fine, whatever. We’ll come” Sae groaned with frustration laced in his tone. The puppy boy exclaimed in joy and hugged Sae tightly before leaving with a quick goodbye. “I’m so screwed” Sae expressed tiredly before stripping his clothes and entering the shower.

“Are you fucking serious” Bunny slapped his hands over his face in disbelief and laid back on the couch with a bath towel wrapped around his waist. Keeping his deadpan face, Sae moved and sat on his lover’s lap as he wrapped his arms around the other’s neck. “God you’re dramatic, it’s just one date” Sae added, kissing the lavender haired’s jaw and chin. Bunny giggled and enclosed his hands around his hips and pulled him closer. “Are you seducing me Sae?” Bunny commented softly and placed a small peck on Sae’s lips, before deepening it, until Sae suddenly jumped off his lap like he was infected. “Get ready we’re leaving at six” the red head deadpanned as he left his half hard lover on the couch and entered his bedroom.
If he was being completely honest the reason why him and Bunny hate the idea of going on the date isn’t because its with Kaiser, no it’s because both of them quite literally can’t read the menu card in restaurants or other places they go to. Sae having heavy dyslexia and Bunny being half blind because of his injury isn’t really helping their situation. Too say their first date went horribly would be an understatement—it went along the lines of them cursing each other out because they thought the other was making fun of them, but in actuality both Sae and Bunny just couldn’t read the menu and were to proud to say anything. The times where they do eat out, is mostly their reguler place, where the workers already knows their order beforehand. But it’s always tougher when they go a new place and the waiter doesn’t stick around to read them the menu, those times are usually the ones where Bunny gets far too frustrated and Sae becomes moodier.
But what exactly was Sae supposed to say to Ness, ‘well actually we can’t come because we’re illiterate to bad to sad’ like, no way he would do that, so instead he of course agreed too the invite and is forced to endure Kaiser’s yapping and the menu card that screams death every time Sae and Bunny walk into the damn restaurant. Sae sighs and starts picking outfits for himself and his lover that so happens to stump into the shared bedroom and glare at Sae. “What?” The red head forces out, refusing to meet the angry expression Bunny wears. “Why couldn’t you make up some dumb excuse, like our dog died or that I’m dying of an incurable illness?” Bunny fumes furiously tapping his feet on the wooden floor. Sae can almost feel an aneurysm pop out of his head. “First we don’t own a dog and second I’m pretty sure half of the world would know if you were dying” Sae fires back and stabs his finger against Bunny’s naked chest and sends him a glare that dares him to speak up.
After a few seconds of intense eye contact Bunny groans loudly and raises his arms in the air. “Okay! But I’m not wearing any fancy shit” Bunny grumbles and opens the closet to find some boxer’s to wear. Sae wants to protest but decides against because arguing with a lukewarm idiotic man child is not worth his time, especially since he knows how to dress to an occasion. “Hey stop that” Bunny exclaimed in irritation as he takes a Cotten shirt on and looks at him from the mirror. “I have no idea what you’re talking about” Sae ignores him and directs his gaze away. “Don’t give me that, I can clearly tell from your face that you’re cursing me in your head” Bunny crosses his arms over his chest and keeps staring at him. “…” no words leave Sae’s mouth as he no longer wants to be apart of the conversation.
They soon departed from the house and walked over to the black Mercedes that decorated their drive through. Sae quickly takes the driver’s seat and turns the car on, Bunny already in a bad mood sends him a look. “Why don’t you ever let me drive?” The lavender haired questions before buckling the seat belt in the passenger seat. “Because you’re quite literally blind Bunny” Sae murmurs with an emotionless expression as he turns the car around and drives off.

With the turn of his wrist Sae parks the car in a massive parking lot filled with expensive vehicles. “You know we can still turn back and have jaw dropping sex in our comfortable house where it’s just us” Bunny smiles with anticipation but gets rejected as Sae exits the car and slams the door shut, while sending a glance at Bunny to get out. The Spaniard leaves the car with a heavy sigh and walks along side Sae into the fancy looking restaurant. Glancing around Sae finally spotted Ness and Kaiser at the far end of the place. “Come on” the red head pulled Bunny’s arm as they approached the two Germans. “You’re just on time” Sae cringed a little as Ness hugged him and smiled brightly.
Sae and Bunny set down next to each other and locked gazes, they were debating whether to ask the waiter to tell them the menu or not since they weren’t alone. “Tsk, Ness you seriously couldn’t find a better place?” Kaiser lets out while playing with the rim or the glass cup, Ness simply responds with an irritated smile and talks endlessly about why Kaiser was being so difficult. Meanwhile Sae and Bunny saw an opening to whisper to the other. “Okay, we’ll just listen when those two start reading the menu” Sae adds quickly as he leaned towards Bunny with fast movements before the German couple were done arguing.
The four of them had fallen into a nice steady flow where they talked about the NEL and the upcoming championship, until the waiter came over the god forsaken menu cards and handed one for each of them, both Sae and Bunny sighed internally as they flipped through the contents. Words started swimming around the sentences in all kinds of directions as Sae scanned the page, he felt dizzy and frustrated by just focusing to read the text. Bunny on the other hand was gripping the menu like he wanted to rip it to shreds, words were blearing every time he swept his eyes across the page, the closer the object was the harder it was to read. Sae and Bunny looked at each other and instantly saw the first warning signs of a horrible night.
“Möchten Sie das Steak mit Kartoffeln?” Ness asked Kaiser, not noticing the revelation that hit Sae and Bunny straight in the face. Bunny slowly turned to Sae and covered himself with the menu card. “Why the fuck are they speaking German, are they doing it on purpose!?” Bunny hissed hurriedly. Sae copied Bunny and hid himself so only he could see him. “How would I know! God I hate German people” Sae cursed, gritting his teeth and glared intensely at both Ness and Kaiser as if they had committed a crime. It didn’t take long for Ness to notice their fidgeting and call them out for it. “Is something the matter?” The puppy boy asked with a slight head tilt.
“No, no, no, me and Sae were just discussing the food options rather passionately” Bunny quickly added and forced his gaze onto the merciless armed words that strived to kill him. The waiter arrived a little while later, waiting and ready to take their orders. Ness went first and told them his and Kaiser order, Sae thought him and Bunny could just take whatever they wanted except he hadn’t known that they had shit taste in food. Bunny Groaned beside him in a defeated manner. “And what can I get you two?” The waiter exclaimed happily, yet Sae couldn’t see one thing to be happy about. He tried reading the menu again but failed miserably to even understand the title. “We’ll have this” Bunny pointed at a random sentence on the page in full confidence, the waiter wrote it down questionably and gave an awkward smile before leaving.
Sae was a bit relieved that the situation ended quickly. They would probably eat the dish Bunny picked, not being picky or anything. “Um, are you sure that’s what you want?” Kaiser raised his brow in confusion and stared at Bunny, who was on the verge of punching the German man’s lights out. His lover tightened his jaw slightly and smiled at Kaiser. “Yeah why, what’s wrong with it?” Bunny forced out, attempting not to let his frustration show. “I mean it’s just not every day I see you pick a bowl of fruits when you’re eating?” Kaiser leaned back against his chair while placing his hand on Ness’s thigh. Sae closed his eyes and accepted his fate, he could no longer stand this and abruptly stood up from the chair. “Oh gosh how could I forgotten your hospital appointment today, we have to go now” he proclaimed hastily as he urged the confused Bunny up from his seat.
“So sorry guys but we have to go, Bunny has caught a very deadly disease that we were supposed check out today” Sae explained and put his coat back on and pushed Bunny towards the door. “Ah wait Sae, can you tell us how it goes?” Ness yelled out a little to capture the red head’s attention. “Of course, don’t worry” Sae quickly replied back and exited the restaurant with bunny. He let out a loud sigh and rubbed his hand over his face. “So I’m dying huh?” Bunny deadpans, glancing over at Sae. “Just shut up” the red head groans and enters the car once again along side Bunny. Silence fills the vehicle as they drive off onto the road, they don’t say anything, either they’re annoyed or tired, could very well be both—until they spot a fast food joint along the way and quickly look at each other.

“That hits the spot” Bunny hums in enjoyment as he takes another bite of his large burger, And Sae couldn’t agree more, the best part of fast food is their images and long descriptions of what the food is, not some stupidly named dishes that take forever to understand. “Still want to have jaw dropping sex with me?” Sae comments teasingly and drinks the suger packed soda. Bunny perks up and grins. “Is it because I’m dying?” The lavender haired questions with a smile and leans back.
Sae’s lips twitch upwards as he tries to hide his small smile before drowning it and looking at his lover with a face that says ‘seriously’. What? he has to keep up appearances. He received a quiet chuckle from Bunny as he leaned his head on the lavender haired’s shoulder. “You’re so dumb” Sae sighs out and enjoys the evening view that falls down slowly and paints the sky in all kinds of warm colors. “I really hate Germans” Bunny mumbles and lays his head against magenta hair. “Me too” Sae replies speedily.
