   Summary

Maekar teaches his bride to refuse; Aerion teaches her it means nothing. When she runs to her husband, broken, he casts her aside. But Baelor finds her, holds her, and dies keeping his promise of justice. Now she kneels at his funeral pyre, the last man who loved her turning to ash, while the husband who failed her whispers useless apologies into the smoke.
