    Summary

Hajime Hinata has calculated every hour, every grade, and every breath to earn his place at Hope’s Peak Academy. He doesn't have time for distractions, and he certainly doesn't have time for Nagito Komaeda—the effortlessly brilliant, insufferably arrogant asshole who seems to exist solely to make Hajime look second-best.

Hajime loathes him. He hates the effortless way Nagito commands the room, he hates the quiet condescension in his voice as he smiles politely, and he hates the way his chest tightens every time Nagito steps too close.

It is just an academic rivalry. That’s what Hajime tells himself, until the line between wanting to destroy someone and wanting to be consumed by them begins to blur.
