Summary
"Varka was a man, and a very good one at that, but he looked different in the shade. With his coat thrown to the side and the drag of his duties gone with it, he was quick and piercing, made to hunt.
Those terrible muscles of him gleaming with sweat, free from the armor and thick fabric that kept everyone who gazed upon them sane. He seemed to know the forest like the back of his hand, moving through it like he was part of the local wildlife, vaulting over fallen trees and dodging stray branches before any reasonable person would catch that they're there. His hair was somehow more roughed up than usual. He looked free.
It was a treat that Lohen got to see him like that, that he'd found this eccentric man who was far too eager to hunt him down and wrestle him into the grass like prey, laughing with his full chest as Lohen playfully kicked at his ribs and squirmed.
Tonight, Lohen was the hunter, stalking through the woods with short, controlled breaths."
