Summary
Nicholas Wilde has been mute for as long as he can remember, due to a severe illness that struck his vocal cords as a child. And in Zootopia, being a fox already means starting at a disadvantage, being one without a voice makes it nearly impossible.
Add a bunny with a lifelong prejudice against foxes, an accusation shouted by mistake in the chaos, and a broken arm that no apology can fix, and you get Speaking in Silence: a story about what's left to say when words were never an option to begin with.
