Work Text:
Philip is going stir crazy too. He bakes more than usual, and while he’s glad for the opportunity, he’d much prefer to be back to his usual routine. He misses his and Benoits walks together. At the very least, the house smells lovely, and there’s always a fresh supply of baked goods available for the both of them to share.
He knows the reality of the situation; the privilege that he holds compared to most others. Benoit and Philip have a lovely, spacious home, plenty of money, and no real need to leave the house. But this whole pandemic has everyone on edge. The anxiety of going outside and catching it, or, god-forbid, passing it on to some unsuspecting victim. Philip shivers and returns to his task at hand. He opens the oven door and removes the three loaves.
“Now, what’s this I smell?” Benoit calls from, no doubt, the bath. “Might that be, oh I don’t know, a fresh loaf of bread?”
“Hurry out the bath and you might see for yourself.” Philip yells back.
Benoits laugh brings a smile to his face. It’s a trying time, with plenty of strain, but they can get through this together.
