Work Text:
Daffy was pissed this was the tenth time this month the same red car had parked in his parking spot. Well, if he was honest, the parking spot previously had the name ‘Bugs Bunny’ engraved, which he had to cross and wrote his name in permanent Sharpie on top of it, but it was still his nevertheless. Did they think their name was Daffy Duck?
He had written a nicely worded letter to the driver but found the note crumpled and thrown on the ground. Last time he had written a nice message with a permanent Sharpie, which is now wiped.
It didn’t matter who this person was, Daffy had been using this spot for the last few months, so it was obviously his. Well, he didn’t pay for the spot, but he needed it more than whatever jerk was using it for.
Last time he couldn’t find any parking spots inside the apartment building, so he had to park a few blocks away, and with the horrible storm happening all week, he got very soaked and had a horrible cold, he refused to let the guy off scoot free.
He took out his car keys, red car looked fancy, and Daffy felt a pang of envy since his car was a piece of junk. Now they will at least look a little similar, he thought before he began keying the guy's car.
“What’s up, doc? Watchya doing?” A voice called.
“Just teaching this jerk a lesson, so he never messes with the great Daffy Duck again.” Daffy said, continuing to key the car.
“Ehh, Doesn’t the spot say ‘Bugs Bunny’ on it?” the bunny said.
“No, that name is crossed, it clearly now says ‘Daffy Duck. ’ Can’t you see the permanent marker.” Daffy said, throwing a nasty look at the rabbit and pointing at the plate.
“No, it says ‘Bugs Bunny, ’ " he said, pointing to the plate.
Annoyed, Daffy looked at the plate, the Sharpie was washed off and only said ‘Bugs Bunny’s name now.
“That’s clearly a mistake, the building owner was mistaken, see I have an apartment in the building and I have been parking in this spot for the last few months.” He said, annoyed, “I am gonna write a strong-sounding letter to the building owners about this.
“Like the one you wrote to the owner of the car,” the rabbit said with a smile.
“Exactly like the one I wrote to the owner of the car,” Daffy said with confidence, before thinking a bit more. “Wait, how did you know I wrote a letter to the owner of the car? … Are you a time traveller? Can you show me your time machine?”
“No, I am the owner of the car.” Bugs Bunny said, annoyed.
“So you are saying that you don’t have a time machine?” Daffy asked.
“No” Bugs answered.
“Figures, a thief and a deceiver, you made me believe you were a time traveller,” Daffy said, annoyed.
Bugs smiled. “Sorry, if I deceived you”.
“But you aren’t apologizing for stealing my spot. It is rightfully mine.” Daffy said, irritated.
“You are right. That spot is rightfully yours,” Bugs said.
He remembered when he first noticed someone parking in his spot after coming back from visiting all his nieces and nephews, he was angry. He paid for that spot, and it even had his name.
When he saw the person had written his name over it with permanent marker, his anger evaporated, and he laughed so hard.
He liked the duck’s courage, and he wanted to mess with him, so he started parking sparingly in the spot, just giving enough hope to Daffy to try again so he wouldn’t look for another spot. When he first got the strongly worded letter from him, he couldn’t help but get giddy, what he was doing was working and getting to the duck. Even though he wanted to keep it, he wanted the duck to be more angry, so he crumpled the letter and threw it next to the car, making sure that Daffy would notice it.
But whatever he did wasn’t enough to get to him, since there were plenty of other spots in the parking lot. For the last week, he had invited a few friends to park in the building so their cars wouldn’t get wet from the horrible storm and when he saw Daffy’s car nowhere in the parking lot and ‘Fuck you’ written on his window, he knew Daffy was very pissed.
Finally meeting Daffy, Bugs instantly knew why he was drawn to him, the duck made him laugh, was nice-looking, but most importantly was easily irritated, and Bugs liked making him irritated.
Bugs' mind slipped into dirtier thoughts. He liked irritating others, he won’t admit it to anyone, but it did turn him on, and this was the most turned on he was in a while. It didn’t help that Daffy looked more attractive irritated, he wanted to see how good Daffy would sound underneath him, irritated and horny. He could imagine it, Daffy annoyed, complaining as he kissed his neck, biting ever so slightly, barely leaving a mark, touching him all over but keeping clear from where Daffy is begging to be tou-
“- Move the car.” Daffy said, starting to head back to his car, Bugs felt like he missed all of the duck’s rambling.
“Of course,” Bugs said with a smile. “How about I also invite you to dinner to apologize? I owe you after all.”
“Sure, you owe me a lot for making me walk in the storm and getting me sick.” Daffy said, annoyed.
“Then how about dinner at a fancy restaurant to apologize? I will pick you up and all. I just need your number.” Bugs said with a devilish smile stopping, anything to get closer to him and a phone number seems like a good start.
“That would be great.” Daffy said, “I don’t have a phone, so just knock on my apartment door, I live in 207.”
Bugs smiled, backing off the car to another spot. He now had the date he wanted, what he needed now was to make sure Daffy was head over heels with him by the end of their date, and if it cost him to have to pay for two parking spots, so be it, it would be worth it.
