Summary
If you ever asked Colt how he managed to read so many scripts of all the movies he was working on, he would just shrug and pretend it was easy. But it was not. Colt spent many hours trying to find a comfortable position to sit in, trying to keep his mind focused on the pages and the Courier font. He spent so many hours with different types of music playing, just to try and silence the sound of his thoughts. To no avail. Everything seemed to fail, unless he was hooked to it, hooked to a point where he forgot anything else.
It wasn't a common occurrence, but it still happened from time to time. He never understood Ryland and his way of being able to focus on boring science stuff for hours on end. He even tried multiple times to get his attention by throwing random things at him back when they were kids. How could one be able to spend days reading? Colt was even bored with instruction manuals, trying to build furniture by himself. This failed more often than not, but he couldn't bother reading all of that, even with the pictures. It was too boring, there wasn't really any reward to it, he needed the furniture pieces anyway.
