A Pasta Interlude

Summary:

Part VI of the omega jewelry series.

Work Text:

“And this is Ilya… Rozanov. But you knew that.” David hears his son say it, saw with his own eyes the evidence, but still was having trouble wrapping his head around the truth.

They moved the conversation to the dining table and David looked at his boy, really looked. He saw the stress held in his shoulders and pinched between his brows. He took in the way it seemed to dissipate as he fiddled with the ring on his middle finger, that was new. As was the delicate silver bangle around his wrist and was that a cuff on his ear?

“So, when?”

David wasn’t going to stop his alpha from pressing. He wanted answers as much as Yuna did.

Summer before rookie season.

He stared across the table at the alpha his son was apparently in love with as said son followed his mother outside.

“Hungry?” At a bit of a loss for what else to do, feeding everyone seemed like something David could manage.

“Da. Yes.” Rozanov– Ilya jumped up from his seat to follow David to the kitchen. He went straight for the big pot, he knew how much pasta hockey players could put down.

“I-“ Ilya started but didn’t continue. David looked at him over his shoulder as the pot filled with water.

“It’s ok, son. It’ll all be ok.” David wasn’t sure before he said it, but looking at the alpha that had his son wearing jewelry… he grew more sure by the moment.
